And now this judge just hit Donald Trump with a defeat that left him red with rage.
Immigration is the biggest flashpoint between the two parties.
Democrats want open borders to permit millions of illegal aliens to flood the country so the Democrats can grant them amnesty in order to create a permanent Democrat majority on the backs of this flood of new voters.
Donald Trump promised to put “America First” by cracking down on illegal immigration and by building a wall to keep out the illegal aliens that drive down the wages of American citizens.
The latest front in this battle is the crisis on the Southern border.
Hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens are taking advantage of loopholes in American law to use phony asylum claims to invade the United States.
President Trump has taken every action afforded to him under the Constitution to stop this invasion.
But Democrats and open borders advocates constantly file suits in handpicked courtrooms where Obama “judges” will stop the President with a nationwide injunction.
The President’s latest attempt to defend America’s borders came in the form of a Department of Justice and Homeland Security rule change that would deny asylum to illegal aliens unless they first applied in another country.
This ruling would shut down the flood of illegal aliens overnight.
That sent Democrats into a panic.
So they resorted to a familiar playbook.
First, open borders activists filed a lawsuit in a Washington, D.C. District Court.
But the left struck out.
The judge, in that case, allowed the new asylum rules to proceed.
Liberals were not about to take no for an answer.
They immediately filed a legal challenge in the courtroom of Obama-era Judge Jon Tigar of San Francisco.
Tigar performed as expected, issuing an order blocking the asylum rule changes.
“This new rule is likely invalid because it is inconsistent with the existing asylum laws,” so-called judge Tigar ruled.
If Tigar’s name sounds familiar, it should.
Last year Tigar issued an order blocking the Trump administration’s change to immigration law to deny asylum to anyone entering the country illegally.
To request asylum, illegal aliens had to do so at a port of entry.
Tigar’s ruling caused Donald Trump to blast him as an “Obama judge” that caused chief justice John Roberts to stab the President in the back and rebuke him.
Judge Tigar’s ruling accomplishes the goal of slowing President Trump down.
The administration is likely to win on appeal either at the Circuit or Supreme Court.
But every day these rules are not in place is another day that illegals can invade the country with their phony asylum claims.
