Robert Mueller’s plan to frame Donald Trump just suffered a massive defeat.
No one saw it coming.
Everyone in Washington realized Mueller was doomed after this bad news.
A Judge Destroys Robert Mueller’s Russia Collusion Investigation
Judge Randolph D. Moss sentenced former Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos to 14 days in prison.
Papadopoulos had pled guilty to lying to the FBI about his meeting with a professor Joseph Mifsud.
Mifsud told him Russia had “dirt” on Hillary Clinton.
The FBI claims he told an Australian diplomat about this meeting in April 2016.
After WikiLeaks published John Podesta’s emails, the Australians passed this information to the FBI.
The FBI claimed this was the beginning of the Russia probe.
Papadopoulos claims he never told anyone on the campaign about this meeting.
CNN interviewed him and he said, “As far as I remember, I absolutely did not share this information with anyone on the campaign.”
He concluded, “I might have, but I have no recollection of doing so. I can’t guarantee. All I can say is, my memory is telling me that I never shared it with anyone on the campaign.”
The media painted a picture of Papadopoulos at the center of an international conspiracy to rig the election.
Judge Moss shut that story down by sentencing Papadopoulos to only 14 days in prison.
Mueller Faces Criticism
Mueller’s critics wondered what all the hype was about.
No one had heard of Papadopoulos when Mueller secured his guilty plea.
The media took it as a sign that Mueller held far more evidence of Russia collusion than anyone knew.
It gave the media hope that Mueller could take down Trump.
That went up in smoke as soon as Papadopoulos received his sentence.
Trump mocked the sentence on Twitter.
He wrote:
14 days for $28 MILLION – $2 MILLION a day, No Collusion. A great day for America!
14 days for $28 MILLION – $2 MILLION a day, No Collusion. A great day for America!

Critics pointed to the sentence as evidence the Mueller probe was a joke.
So the mastermind of all things, George Papadopoulos, gets…14 days in jail. I'm sure Seth Abramson has a 550 tweetstorm explaining how this means Trump is about to be shackled by the Marshal of Diana Ross and the Supremes

Another Russia Collusion Myth Collapses
Papadopoulos also called into question another pillar of the Russia investigation.
He told the New York Times he never talked about the Russians having Hillary’s emails with an Australian diplomat.
The Times reports:
MAZZETTI: In interviews, Downer has said that — besides having one drink — he has said that you brought up the Russian dirt on Hillary Clinton.
PAPADOPOULOS: I don’t remember talking about that with him at all.
MAZZETTI: So, you don’t remember, at any point in that meeting, talking about Russia dirt and Hillary Clinton?
PAPADOPOULOS: I don’t remember that at all, actually.
Critics of the FBI believe the Bureau lied about what started the Russia probe.
The FBI claims it was Papadopoulos telling an Australian diplomat about the Russians having dirt on Clinton.
Critics contend the FBI made that up because the Steele dossier was the true start of the probe.
This event put the Mueller probe in a new light.
Trump supporters saw it as proof that Mueller is running a witch hunt.
Papadopoulos did not collude with the Russians.
He was not in the middle of a conspiracy to steal the election.
Mueller still has not charged anyone for colluding with the Russians.
Papadopoulos’s sentence brought it into focus that even after 19 months, Robert Mueller still has no proof that Trump conspired with Russia.
