Joe Biden named Kamala Harris his border czar back in March because when presidents encounter thorny problems, they stick with the vice president so the president doesn’t take the fall.
Hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens poured over into America every month after Joe Biden opened up the border by rolling back Donald Trump’s successful immigration policies.
The crisis reached a nadir when 15,000 Haitian illegal aliens rushed into Del Rio, Texas and constructed a migrant tent city under a bridge.
Conditions turned dangerous as excrement and trash piled up as Biden refused to deport the migrants and instead released thousands into the country.
To make matters worse, at least 10,000 more illegal alien Haitians gathered on the Mexican side of the border ready to storm into America.
This represented a colossal failure on the part of the Biden administration – and Kamala Harris – to secure the border and perform the basic function of government to defend the national sovereignty.
Texas Republican Congressman Tony Gonzalez laid out the dangers in a phone call with hapless Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas in which Congressman Gonzalez warned Mayorkas that the administration invited another 9/11 by forcing the Border Patrol to devote so much manpower and resources to process the thousands of illegal aliens setting up shop in a shantytown in Texas.
“We discussed a wide variety of things, but one of the things that I mentioned in particular, I was like, ‘Look, the migrant situation’s absolutely chaotic and terrible, but what keeps me up at night is another 9/11-type of event.’ And when you have all of your Border Patrol agents — it’s not only in the Del Rio sector, it’s the surrounding sectors as well — that all kind of come to Del Rio to handle this situation, that literally leaves our border wide open,” Gonzalezrecounted in an interview with the Washington Examiner. “There’s hundreds of miles that aren’t are being patrolled at all. Checkpoints are closed down.
“‘No. No. No. Everything is under control,’” Gonzalez claimed Mayorkas responded.
Gonzalez then told the Examiner he unloaded at Mayorkas explaining that he knew the border situation and that Mayorkas could not “bulls*** me.”
“No, don’t tell me, ‘Everything’s under control.’ It’s not under control. Because like, I know it’s not under control. You can bulls*** somebody else, but you can’t bulls*** me,” Gonzalez added. “It was kind of like, dismissive a little bit, and that’s a problem, especially when you’re talking about national security. Like, there are no second chances. You have to get it right every single time, or it’s game over.”
The southern border and the illegal alien stampede into the country is the number one domestic crisis for the Biden administration.
Biden’s failure to secure the border is dragging down his numbers and branding Kamala Harris as an incompetent in the eyes of the public.
And if Kamala Harris does run for president one day this failure could define her in the eyes of the public.
