Kamala Harris is supposed to protect Joe Biden’s political interests.
But that isn’t what happened.
And now Kamala Harris just undermined Joe Biden with one head-turning comment.
Joe Biden declared war on 80 million Americans by painting them as enemies of the people through their decision not to take the coronavirus vaccine.
Biden pitched his new federal vaccine mandate as a necessary step in the new biomedical security state Biden envisions for the country.
Freedom is out and coercion and obedience are the new watchwords.
“This is not about freedom or personal choice, it’s about protecting yourself and those around you,” Biden snarled during a speech to the nation.
But Biden’s new authoritarian federal vaccine mandate overriding personal freedom talking point was undercut by none other than Kamala Harris.
Harris met with a number of abortion providers to reaffirm the administration’s commitment to terminating the lives of unborn babies in the wake of the Supreme Court leaving a Texas law in place that bans abortion after six weeks.
In the meeting, Harris claimed ending the lives of unborn babies allowed for women’s full participation in society and democracy.
Those are standard issue false and misleading pro-abortion talking points.
“So for me this is truly an issue that is about full participation. And in that way we know that when all people are able to fully participate, our democracy is stronger, and everyone benefits,” Harris stated.
But then Harris veered into problem territory for the Biden administration.
Harris wrongly claimed that aborting babies was a medical decision, but that the American people should be free to make their own medical choices without government mandates or intervention.
“When people are able to make choices without government interference for themselves in terms of their well-being and the well-being of their family in consultation with whomever they may choose, we are a stronger society,” Harris concluded.
This is a major problem for Joe Biden.
Biden just told Americans that freedom of choice no longer existed in America for medical decisions and that Americans forfeited autonomy over their own body to the government.
Joe Biden will have a hard time explaining why “my body, my choice” only applies to abortion mills.
The first job of any vice president is to do no harm.
If the vice president is not in the headlines that is a good thing for the president and theadministration.
Kamala Harris failed at that task every step of the way.
But since Joe Biden tried to stop his sinking poll numbers by staking his presidency on COVID and this vaccination mandate, Harris’ blunder sticks out like a sore thumb.
