And that’s because Kamala Harris made one horrible confession that left every American speechless.
Kamala Harris knows she is in trouble.
No one on the left believes Joe Biden will seek a second term in 2024 due to his clear cognitive decline and sinking poll numbers.
That leaves Harris as the obvious heiress apparent.
However, Harris’ 28 percent approval rating, disastrous 2020 presidential campaign and failed tenure as Biden administration border czar leaves Democrats wondering if they need to seek out a new successor to Joe Biden in 2024.
Harris tried to put the whisper campaign about her doomed prospects to bed with a media tour.
However, all Harris making herself available for more interviews cemented was the understanding among the American people as to why administration officials hid Harris from as many public appearances as possible.
In an interview with CBS’ Margaret Brennan, Harris proved she was an autocrat in embryo with her answer to Brennan’s question about the biggest national security threat facing America.
“What do you see is the biggest national security challenge confronting the U.S.? What is the thing that worries you & keeps you up at night?” Brennan asked.
Harris could have answered with Communist China’s economic and military expansionist plans to dominate the globe and displace America as the world’s lone superpower.
Harris also could have fallen back on the D.C. swamp talking point and hyped up a barely existent threat from Russia.
Or Harris even could have drifted back into reality and cited the threat of Islamic terrorism or a nuclear-armed North Korea.
Instead, Harris told Brennan the biggest threat facing the United States is her fellow Americans.
Harris played to the Democrat Party base by repeating the Big Lie that the Republican Party represented an authoritarian movement to overthrow American democracy.
“Frankly, one of them is our democracy. And that I can talk about because that’s not classified,” Harris told Brennan.
Conservative commentator Drew Holden slammed Harris for claiming her political opponents were a greater threat to America than Communist China.
“It really can’t be overstated how ludicrous and insidious it is that the Vice President publicly espouses that America’s greatest national security challenge is her political opponents,” Holden wrote in response.
Joe Biden may step aside before the 2024 election.
In that event, America may have a president – who controls the national security state – in charge that views 74 million Americans that voted for Donald Trump as a national security threat.
A president’s greatest latitude under the Constitution to act unilaterally comes in the area of national security.
If Harris views Americans that vote for the other party as a clear and present danger to the United States of America, Harris can order Americans jailed indefinitely and deny them legal counsel, spy on their communications without a warrant and order the FBI to infiltrate conservative political groups to fabricate crimes.
In 2020, FBI informants created a plot to kidnap Michigan Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer that the Bureau then used to embarrass Donald Trump weeks before the election.
When the president declares a war on terror there are almost no limits on their power.
In the CBS interview Harris announced that if she ever becomes president, Harris intends to unleash the full might of the federal government’s police, intelligence and spying capabilities against her political opponents in order to crush any opposition to her rule.
