Kamala Harris is running for president.
But her campaign has turned into a slow-moving train wreck.
And now, she’s reeling from an unbelievable betrayal from the last person she expected.
When Kamala Harris threw her hat into the Democratic primary for president in 2020, she immediately skyrocketed to the top of the leaderboard.
Pundits and political activists across America considered her a top-tier candidate, who could very well clinch the nomination and defeat Trump in 2020.
But it’s all begun to fall apart for Harris.
The California Senator had to deal with sexual assault allegations from someone working in her office.
And then a former California politician who served as Mayor of San Francisco and then Speaker of the California State Assembly admitted to having an affair with her for years, and that he had used his political power and influence to catapult Harris’ political career upwards.
That same man, Willie Brown, has now left a knife in Harris’ back.
And the damage is unbelievable.
Breitbart reports:
“Former San Francisco mayor and California State Assembly speaker Willie Brown threw shade at his ex-girlfriend, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), and the other contenders for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination in 2020, writing Saturday that none of them can beat President Donald Trump.”
In his weekly column with the San Francisco Chronicle, Brown tore into Harris, and the rest of the Democratic field.
“Make no mistake, President Trump’s State of the Union address was the kickoff for his 2020 re-election campaign, and so far I’ve yet to see a Democrat who can beat him.”
It gets worse for Harris however.
Brown went on to state that polling immediately after the speech showed that Trump can still capture the voters he needs to cement his re-election, while the Democrats running – including Harris – have nothing to match Trump’s campaign plan.
Brown even went as far as to state that “none [of the Democrats running for president] displays the ‘people personality’ that our media-savvy president has mastered.”
Brown, who had admitted to dating Harris for years and then putting her on the track to eventually become a U.S. Senator and presidential candidate, came forward with the news last month.
Harris meanwhile, seems to be ignoring Brown’s warnings that the only way Democrats can defeat President Trump is by appealing to more than just the far left of the American electorate.
She has instead endorsed almost every bit of left-wing politics imaginable, from a complete socialization of the country’s healthcare industry, to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s bizarre and unhinged “Green New Deal”, to even going as far as to suggest that private health insurance should be “eliminated”.
Harris has positioned herself so far to the left, that she rivals even Bernie Sanders, who is expected to decide on a second presidential run in the near future.
All of this flies in the face of the advice Brown writes about in his column with the San Francisco Chronicle.
Do you think Kamala Harris is too far to the left to defeat Trump in 2020?
