Attorney General William Barr’s future has been the subject of much speculation in Washington.
Those rumors just came to a head.
And Kayleigh McEnany had this message for William Barr that led to one big change.
Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany appeared on Fox News to communicate the message that President Trump was upset over recent reports that Attorney General William Barr worked to conceal the fact that Hunter Biden was the subject of criminal investigations before the election.
The next day William Barr submitted a letter of resignation announcing he is stepping down from heading the Justice Department just before Christmas.
In her comments McEnany ripped Attorney General Barr for not telling the American people the truth about the investigations into Hunter Biden.
“All he had to do is say an investigation is going on,” McEnany explained.
McEnany compared Barr’s code of silence on the investigations into Hunter Biden when many in the fake news media were claiming the idea that Hunter Biden’s business dealings in Communist China were criminal as Russian disinformation to Robert Mueller correcting the record when Buzzfeed falsely reported that prosecutors had evidence Donald Trump instructed Michael Cohen to lie to Congress.
“President Trump’s exactly right, and his analogy could not be more appropriate to Robert Mueller who, in a rare move, came out and said that this BuzzFeed story is just not true,” McEnany added.
Twitter censored the New York Post by blocking users from tweeting links to their story about the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop and locking the paper out of their account for two weeks.
McEnany spoke for millions of Trump supporters when she condemned Attorney General Barr for not speaking up and confirming the Post’s story as accurate when Big Tech worked to rig the 2020 election by censoring negative news about Joe Biden.
“When you have one of the nation’s largest newspapers banned from Twitter. When you have entities like the New York Times calling the Hunter Biden information, Russia misinformation, ironically the same publication that what Pulitzers on Russia disinformation,” McEnany declared.
“And when they’re out there saying this and it’s been echoed across every single airwave, except Fox I would point, out, you have an obligation to come out because you are affecting an election by not coming out and saying that this investigation exists and is not in fact, Russia misinformation,” McEnany added.
McEnany told Fox News that President Trump was frustrated the fake news media deceived the American people before the election by repeating false claims that Hunter Biden was not the subject of a major scandal.
“He’s frustrated. He’s very public about it, and the country was misled unfortunately by a number of news outlets, saying that this was a fact-free conspiracy theory. I was right there with the president when he was interviewing with ‘60 Minutes’ Leslie Stahl where she wouldn’t even let him speak on the Hunter Biden scandal. … All along the facts were there, it was ignored and it’s unfortunate that the attorney general didn’t come out,” McEnany told Fox News.
Attorney General Barr deprived the voters of this crucial information.
And for that reason his resignation was a welcome and appropriate development.
