The corporate media spent a year smearing Kyle Rittenhouse.
Now it looks like Rittenhouse is ready to fight back.
Kyle Rittenhouse issued a big-time warning that just shook CNN to the core.
After a jury acquitted Kyle Rittenhouse on all murder charges after shooting three Black Lives Matter rioters in self-defense the obvious questions turned to if Rittenhouse would sue the corporate media outlets that lied about Rittenhouse being a white supremacist and a murderer.
Rittenhouse answered that question in the affirmative.
“There’s going to be some media accountability coming soon,” Rittenhouse declared in a recent interview.
After the jury rightfully acquitted Rittenhouse, the 18-year-old’s attorney Mark Richards hinted that corporate media outlets would pay the price for defamatory reporting about his client.
“It’s false and it makes me angry that they can’t take the time to at least get the generic, basic facts correct because it didn’t fit in the story they wanted to tell,” Richards exclaimed.
Richards ripped CNN and MSNBC for both networks’ false reporting and singled out MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and racist conspiracy theorist Joy Reid for especially egregious errors.
“Just in the last two weeks … when I hear Joe Scarborough say my client shot his gun 60 times — that’s wrong,” Richards stated.
“When I hear some guest host on Joy Reid say that my client drove four hours to go to a riot with his AR — that’s wrong,” Richards said in highlighting Joy Reid’s incorrect comments.
Famed Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz explained that while he was an ardent supporter of the First Amendment right to free speech, CNN deserved to face a lawsuit over the network’s factually inaccurate reporting because Dershowitz contended the network had a history of purposefully misleading reporting.
“Critics and people who support the conviction just heard a different case,” Dershowitz stated. “They heard a case of a white supremacist crossing state lines with an AR-15 who had no business being in the place that he went to. Who went for no good reason, who was not chased and had no fear for his life,” Dershowitz began.
Dershowitz added he would help Rittenhouse and turn over evidence from CNN which edited Dershowitz to present a misleading picture.
“That’s what CNN told their viewers,” Dershowitz added. “I hope that Rittenhouse sues CNN. I want to make an offer. I will share my research about CNN with Rittenhouse and his lawyers. As you know, I am suing CNN because they totally distorted and edited a tape of my defense of President Trump. They have a policy, a history of distorting facts in order to present a narrative.”
Rittenhouse can look to former Covington Catholic student Nicholas Sandmann who won a settlement from both CNN and NBC over those networks wrongly reporting Sandmann instigated a racist confrontation with a peaceful Native American Indian activist at the March for Life.
Both CNN and NBC paid up after falsely reporting on Sandmann.
Rittenhouse looks to win a similar legal settlement to impose a measure of accountability on CNN and other corporate media outlets that critics contend ignore the facts and shade the truth in the service of their preferred political narrative.
