Eric Holder Attacks Loretta Lynch
Former Attorney General Eric Holder is rumored to be running for President in 2020.
The disgraced former Obama official gave an interview to Buzzfeed’s morning radio show.
Holder talked about James Comey’s July 2016 press conference.
Comey let Hillary off the hook.
But many Clinton supporters believe he went too far in taking her to task before saying he would not recommend charges.
Comey had the press conference because he said then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch was compromised.
Lynch had met former President Bill Clinton on his government plane at a Phoenix airport.
She stepped back from the Clinton probe and said she would accept whatever decision the career people made.
It was not Comey’s place to decide on bringing charges.
Prosecutors hold that power.
But it was not the first time Comey would be insubordinate.
Holder ripped Comey’s decision.
But in doing so, Holder ended up attacking Lynch, even if he never mentioned her name.
“That would not have happened if I was attorney general of the United States,” Holder said. “I would have told Jim Comey, ‘You can go up there as the FBI director and try to hold this press conference, but you will leave that podium as the ex-FBI director.’”
“I wish I’d been there maybe an hour before the press conference had started.”
Why Eric Holder Gave This Interview
Buzzfeed is a far-left activist site that claims to be a news outlet.
But their editor openly admits to their liberal bias.
Ben Smith claims there are not two sides to issues like the homosexual agenda.
Holder went on their talk show to reach out to Democrat Presidential primary voters.
In the interview, Holder was asked about his Presidential ambitions.
Holder said, “Nope, I am fully committed to staying with the NDRC.”
The NDRC is a Barack Obama-supported group that is fighting to rig the process by which states draw legislative district maps.
They want maps that make it impossible for Republicans to win.
However, Holder said he will make his decision next year on whether he will run for President.
But Holder throwing Lynch under the bus on the Comey press conference is a sign that he is seriously considering running for President.
Liberals hold Comey’s press conference as an unforgivable betrayal.
Holder is letting them know he agrees.
He also made the point to say that the left could count on him to put the Democrats political interests over the facts should he be President.
Holder famously described himself as Obama’s “wingman.”
He covered up scandals like Operation Fast and Furious.
Congress voted to hold him in contempt because he refused to comply with document requests about the gun-running operation that led to the deaths of two Border Patrol agents.
The Democrats 2020 contest will be a race to see who can prove they will fight Donald Trump tooth-and-nail the most.
Holder is trying to stake out that ground.
