Marco Rubio has a big problem on his hands.
The Florida Senator showed up at CNN’s anti-gun town hall to discuss the shooting in Parkland, Florida.
And he ended his career in one shocking moment.
Rubio ran for President in 2016 billing himself as a defender of the Second Amendment.
But in the wake of the tragedy in Florida, he has gone wobbly.
And it ended any chances of him ever winning higher office.
It all came to a head at the CNN town hall where he staked out gun control positions that put him to the left of many Democrats.
Rubio expressed his desire to disarm hundreds of thousands of Americans through “Gun Violence Restraining orders” – which allow anti-gun Judges to strip away your Second Amendment rights on the flimsiest of evidence, banning so-called “high capacity magazines”, and raising the age to purchase a rifle to 21.
In the face of a hostile crowd where one speaker compared him to the deranged school shooter, Rubio showed he was a coward unable and unwilling to defend his supposed convictions.
The Washington Post reports:
“ Unlike the shouting matches that these kinds of forums tend to become, this one was direct yet respectful. Rubio unsurprisingly faced heated questions. Since the shooting, he had become the face of congressional inaction on tougher gun laws — a Republican who has sounded notes of compassion, while not straying from the party’s staunch support for largely preserving current gun laws.
That changed early in Wednesday’s program.
“I absolutely believe that in this country if you are 18 years of age, you should not be able to buy a rifle and I will support a law that takes that right away,” Rubio said, articulating a position that put him at odds with the NRA.
In a discussion with Chris Grady, a senior at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., where the deadly shooting happened, Rubio explained his new thinking on ammunition capacity.
“I traditionally have not supported looking at magazine clip size. And after this, and some of the details I’ve learned about it, I’m reconsidering that position,” said Rubio. The crowd applauded.”
Conservatives were disgusted with Rubio’s performance.
After the White House & CNN Town Halls yesterday, my appreciation for @realDonaldTrump increased significantly. Trump took on the tough issue of getting rid of #GunFreeZones. But @marcorubio folded, going for all sorts of gun laws that wouldn't help & keeping #gunfreezone.

Rubio would like to one day run for President again.
Those dreams are over after revealing himself to be a liberal gun-grabber.
