Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA) is unhinged.
After spending years touring the country telling anyone who will listen that President Trump needs to be removed from office, she just resorted to a new low this week.
And what she said to MSNBC will leave Trump supporters speechless.
Congresswoman Maxine Waters, a notorious Trump critic from California, took to MSNBC this week to do something she loves to do — attack the President.
The California Democrat, known for her public gaffs, personal scandals, and corruption allegations, told MSNBC reporters that “we need to get rid of Trump” when asked about President Trump’s recent feud with the Federal Reserve.
Waters said, “We must understand that the Fed does not work for the president of the United States. The Fed creates monetary policy based on what’s good for the economy…All that the president can do when he opens his mouth is rattle the markets.”
Waters then added something explosive, “I’m not surprised that the president is doing this because I’m not surprised at anything that the president may do or say. I have warned America from the beginning that this president is not worthy, he cannot be trusted, he’s a liar, He’s despicable.”
That Congresswoman Waters, who, before she became a household name for her attacks on the President was best known for one of the most scandal-ridden members of Congress, would attack President Trump as a “liar” and describe him as “despicable” is laughable.
Waters’ comments are like the pot calling the kettle black.
In 2004, the Los Angeles Times reported that Maxine Waters’ relatives had made more than $1 million during the previous eight years by doing business with companies and candidates that Waters supported.
The Liberal watchdog group “Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington” named Waters to its list of corrupt members of Congress in 2005, 2006, 2009 and 2011.
During the height of the failed stimulus package in 2009, Waters managed to get a new government building in California named after herself.
But it gets worse with Waters’ comments to MSNBC. She went on to say, “We need to get rid of this president.”
If only she had followed that same advice when she became Congress’ most investigated member.
During the 2008 crash, Waters used her influence to obtain a bailout for OneUnited Bank, which her husband was a major stockholder of. The bank eventually received 12 million dollars in taxpayer money.
And earlier this year, Waters cause a firestorm after telling a crowd of liberal activists that they need to publicly harass anyone associated with President Trump or his administration.
Waters’ comments are unhinged, hypocritical, and also false.
She has spent two years attacking President Trump as a liar and a hypocrite, but her record in Congress is the most accurate depiction of the “D.C. Swamp” Trump rails against on a regular basis.
Waters lives in a political glass house. It would be smart of her to stop throwing stones before President Trump begins to fire back at her outrageous comments.
What do you think? Is Maxine Waters a hypocrite?
