Megyn Kelly learned a hard lesson.
She left Fox News for the liberal outlet NBC News.
But now Kelly is returned to Fox to discuss one appalling thing she saw at NBC.
Megyn Kelly has been on a rollercoaster ride the past few years.
After rising to prominence at Fox News, she left the network for a $69 million contract with NBC News.
Kelly received “newfound respect” from the left after she attacked Donald Trump during the 2016 GOP primary.
Suddenly she was appearing on shows like Jimmy Fallon and receiving a hero’s welcome.
However, conservatives in liberal spaces are still conservatives, and the sudden newfound respect will always evaporate.
For that reason, Kelly couldn’t cultivate an audience at NBC, and her Fox fans did not follow her.
But Kelly was ousted from NBC News for speaking honestly about the network’s handling of credible sexual assault claims against Hollywood mega-producer Harvey Weinstein and former NBC anchor Matt Lauer.
Ronan Farrow, the author who broke the Weinstein scandal wide open with a scathing piece in the New Yorker, had his Weinstein exposé spiked at NBC.
And Farrow’s latest book goes into detail about higher-ups at NBC looking the other way when faced with Lauer’s alleged crimes, including forcible rape of an NBC staffer.
For speaking honestly about NBC’s management of this malfeasance, Kelly was knifed in the back by her own network.
NBC News head Andy Lack gave network personalities Al Roker and Craig Melvin the greenlight to torch Kelly over her benign comments about wearing blackface as part of respectful Halloween costumes.
NBC used the ginned up controversy as a pretext to fire Kelly shortly after, but not before having to eat the remaining $30 million left on her contract.
Coincidentally, the same Jimmy Fallon that probably gave Kelly her first softball interview from the left wore blackface as part of a sketch for NBC’s Saturday Night Live, but never had to atone like Kelly did, and it still wasn’t enough to save her job.
And for the first time, Kelly is speaking out about what went on at NBC.
Kelly will make a special guest appearance on Tucker Carlson’s show to discuss her treatment and the mishandling of the sexual malfeasance at the network.
There’s some speculation that Kelly could return to the network that made her after the sudden departure of left-leaning news anchor Shepard Smith, but her appearance with Carlson had been planned for weeks.
Whether or not Kelly comes back full-time, her interview with Carlson should be illuminating on what really went on behind the scenes at NBC News.
Kelly’s treatment at NBC should be a warning shot to conservatives.
The left will never accept you unless you bend the knee, which is what has allowed Joe Scarborough to remain at MSNBC.
When Trump was seen as nothing more than a gadfly to presumptive establishment favorites like Jeb Bush, Scarborough and co-host Mika Brzezinski were warm to Trump.
But as soon as Scarborough got his marching orders to destroy Trump, he’s become indistinguishable from the most shrill leftist critics.
