Michelle Obama keeps trying to take down Donald Trump.
Ever since he won the election she has hurled insult after insult at the President.
But this time she crossed the line and her attack instantly backfired.
Obama was speaking at the Obama Foundation Summit in Chicago when she took several implied shots at the President.
Without naming him, she attacked his Twitter habits and compared him to a ten-year-old child.
The Hill reports:
“Michelle Obama says people shouldn’t tweet everything that pops into their heads because “most of your first initial thoughts are not worthy of the light of day.”
“This whole ‘tell it like it is’ business — that’s nonsense,” the former first lady said in a Wednesday chat with poet Elizabeth Alexander at the Obama Foundation Summit in Chicago.
“You don’t tweet every thought,” Obama advised before adding with a smile, “And I’m not talking about anybody in particular. I’m talking about us all, because everybody does that.”
She continued her rant as she raged on about the proper tone on social media and not insulting people.
The Hill also reports:
“Tweeting and social media, that is a powerful weapon that we just hand over to little kids,” Obama, 53, told the audience. “You know, a 10-year-old, ‘Here you go, tell it like it is.’ It’s like, no you don’t,” she continued.
“You need to think, and spell it right, and have good grammar, too,” Obama said to laughs.
Obama said that as a first lady, “Every word you utter has consequences. Words matter at this level.”
“You’re careful with your words. You’re careful with how you debate,” she said. “And I think when you’re the first lady or the president, the commander in chief, and you have that voice, and that power, and that platform, I think what comes with that is the responsibility to know that every word you utter has consequences.”
“You can’t just slash and burn up folks just because you think you’re right,” Obama said. “You have to treat people as if they are precious, all of them, even the people you don’t agree with.”
It was obvious her remarks were an attempt to undermine Donald Trump.
Trump has credited Twitter with being a major factor in him winning the White House.
The fake news media is hopelessly biased against him and routinely fabricates stories and lies about his Presidency.
His only chance to tell the real story without the anti-Trump press distorting the news and trying to trick people into believing a false narrative about him is through his social media platforms.
Twitter is his only chance to fight back.
Michelle Obama’s ridiculous comments fly in the face of reality.
They are also self-serving.
If Trump played by the same rules as every other Republican politician, he would have lost to Hillary Clinton.
When Trump is attacked, he hits back twice as hard.
That refusal to back down won him millions of supporters who were sick of cowardly Republicans curling up in a fetal position every time the Democrats or the media attacked them.
