Thousands of migrants massing just behind the United States Southern border placed millions of Americans on edge.
But now their worst nightmare is being realized.
That’s because the migrant caravan hid this awful danger that took even Donald Trump by surprise.
Fake news reporters and Democrats seized on the death of an 8-year-old migrant from Guatemala on Christmas morning.
The boy died in Customs and Border Patrol custody.
Initially, agents had checked him for any signs of illness and did not find any.
But when the boy exhibited signs of distress, agents rushed him into emergency medical treatment.
“The father and his son were promptly transferred to the Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center,” Customs and Border Patrol said in a statement. “The child was initially diagnosed by hospital staff with a common cold, and when evaluated for release, hospital staff found a fever.”
Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen also noted that the fault for the boy’s death lay at the feet of the smugglers and parents who ignored the risks of traveling thousands of miles to sneak into the United States.
“Our system has been pushed to a breaking point by those who seek open borders,” Secretary Nielsen declared in a statement. “Smugglers, traffickers, and their own parents put these minors at risk by embarking on the dangerous and arduous journey north.”
That did not stop Democrats like California Democrat Kamala Harris from claiming Trump was killing migrant children for fun.
“The news of another child death in CBP custody is heartbreaking, especially on Christmas. We must demand a full and thorough account of what happened to this 8-year-old boy,” Harris tweeted.
The Department of Homeland Security also revealed that the boy’s father refused further medical attention after he started feeling better.
“…the man claiming to be his father told agents that the boy did not need to return to the hospital and that ‘he had been feeling better,” a DHS spokesman explained.
Democrats and the fake news media are painting this tragedy as a direct result of Trump’s policies because they want to hide one inconvenient truth.
An ever increasing number migrants are showing up at the border sick or carrying disease.
The Department of Homeland Security instructed the Center for Disease Control (CDC) to begin to investigate why more migrants are showing up in America sick.
Fake news media “reporters” will claim this – or any discussion of the downside of mass migration and open borders – is racist.
But they also know that a full and frank discussion about the negative impacts of thousands of migrants from the poorest and least healthy countries in Central America traveling in unsanitary conditions would turn many Americans against the Democrats stated support for open borders.
These so-called “journalists” also know that telling the American people the truth about the true condition of the migrants in the caravan would lead to a public outcry for the Democrats to provide the votes to end a filibuster of funding for President Trump’s border wall.
Democrats have dug in their heels on this issue.
Now they are backed into a corner.
So their allies in the fake news media are doing everything in their power to suppress the truth about the migrant caravan from the American people.
