Hillary Clinton’s picture might as well be used for the definition of corrupt.
In fact, she’s even become too toxic for some Democrats.
And one connection to her might end up causing Mueller’s investigation to crumble.
Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russia collusion would not be possible without Hillary Clinton.
Before even losing the election, Hillary and the Democratic National Committee had funded a piece of opposition research, now known as the Russia dossier.
This research contained salacious claims about President Trump which were never verified.
Despite that, the Justice Department followed it closely and used it as their main piece of evidence in a FISA surveillance warrant against Trump advisor Carter Page.
And it was that warrant application that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein used to form Mueller’s special counsel.
But now with a new court filing, it appears that people connected to Hillary Clinton have an even bigger role in the entire situation.
A court filing shows that the ex-British spy, Christopher Steele—who put together the dossier— told a court in the United Kingdom that he had disclosed information from the Trump-Russia investigation to longtime Clinton ally, Strobe Talbott.
Talbott is a Clinton insider who has a position on the Foreign Affairs Policy Board, set up in 2011 by Hillary Clinton during her time as Secretary of State.
Talbott has known the Clintons for decades, first meeting Bill at Oxford in the 1960s.
“As regards disclosure to Strobe Talbott (if relevant to this claim), the Defendant relies on US Department of State Foreign Affairs Policy Board,” reads the filing.
This lawsuit was filed by three Russian bankers who are suing Steele in both the United States and the United Kingdom over his dossier.
These latest connections between the Clintons and the Russia investigation had not been revealed until now.
Hillary Clinton and her cronies having so many connections to the investigation should be raising red flags.
Since the start, Trump has been calling it a politically motivated witch hunt.
And Hillary clearly has political motivations to get back at Trump.
Becoming President has been her longtime goal, first running in 2008.
And not only did she lose perhaps her last chance to run again, but her victory is the antithesis of everything she represents.
Hillary supports globalization and Trump is a nationalist who puts America first.
He is doing everything in his power to reverse the destructive eight year reign of Barack Obama, while Hillary ran as a continuation of his disastrous legacy.
There is nothing Hillary wants more than to see Trump fail.
And if Mueller can prove that he did anything wrong, it will be a major victory for her.
