Nancy Pelosi and Donald Trump have not spoken in months.
But Nancy Pelosi just reached a disgusting new low in her feud with the President.
And then Nancy Pelosi accused Trump of this major crime and all hell broke loose.
Not even a national crisis could thaw the hatred that rests in Pelosi’s heart towards President Trump.
With the coronavirus outbreak raging, Speaker Pelosi chose to exploit the crisis to undermine President Trump.
Normally in a national emergency, politicians of both parties come together and try and present a united front – even if for a brief moment in time – to calm a nervous public.
Nancy Pelosi is simply incapable of any act of patriotism.
Instead Nancy Pelosi used an appearance on fake news CNN’s “State of the Union” show to claim President Trump allegedly responding ‘sluggishly’ to the coronavirus outbreak directly led to the deaths of thousands of Americans.
“Speaker Pelosi, when you say the president’s denial was deadly, he obviously downplayed the risks of coronavirus for several weeks, and it wasn’t until I think about two weeks ago that he started acknowledging the gravity of the crisis. Are you saying his downplaying ultimately cost American lives?” host Jake Tapper asked Pelosi in an effort to provide the Speaker an off-ramp to walk back her obscene charges.
Pelosi ignored the lifeline.
Instead Speaker Pelosi doubled down and basically accused the President of the United States of being a murderer.
“Yes, I am. I’m saying that because when he made — the other day, when he was signing the bill, he said, just think, 20 days ago everything was great. No, everything wasn’t great. We had nearly 500 cases and 17 deaths already. And in that 20 days, because we weren’t prepared, we now have 2,000 deaths and 100,000 cases. So again, we really want to work in a unifying way to get the job done here. But we cannot continue to allow him to continue to make these underestimates of what is actually happening here. This is such a tragedy, and we don’t even know the magnitude of it because we do not have the adequate testing. Our first bill was about testing, testing, testing. The second bill was about masks, masks, masks. Of course both of them were about addressing the emergency,” Pelosi ranted.
Millions of Americans considered these remarks beyond the pale.
Pelosi accusing the President of killing Americans by willfully ignoring the coronavirus does nothing to advance the nation’s response, stop the outbreak or rebuild the economy from the damage the government inflicted upon America through forced shutdowns.
This is the most serious situation many Americans – excluding those that fought in war – experienced in their lifetimes.
To these Americans, it should be the bare minimum expectation that leaders put aside the desire to score partisan points ahead of an election to instead work on behalf of the people to solve the health and self-inflicted economic crises at hand.
