The Pelosi-led Democrat Party is working overtime to destroy President Trump.
They are prying into every aspect of his life to find the one thing they can use to ruin him.
But Nancy Pelosi just got news that destroys the biggest part of that plan.
There’s one thing the Democrats have been wanting to get their hands on since the day Trump got into office.
His tax returns.
When running for President, it is common for candidates to release their tax returns.
However, it is by no means a requirement—and Trump chose not to release his returns unless Hillary Clinton released the 30,000 emails deleted from her private server.
And clearly, the American people were okay with it since Trump is now President of the United States.
Despite that, Democrats are still insisting on it.
The House Committee on Ways and Means is currently demanding his tax returns.
Committee Chairman Richard Neal recently sent an official subpoena to the White House to try to acquire them.
But Trump isn’t giving into their demands.
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin sent a letter informing the committee they will not send the tax returns.
“In reliance on the advice of the Department of Justice, we have determined that the committee’s request lacks a legitimate legislative purpose, and … the department is therefore not authorized to disclose the requested returns and return information,” Mnuchin said in the letter.
Needless to say, Nancy Pelosi was furious.
As Speaker of the House, she chooses who is on what committee.
And she is using her power to place trusted allies in strategic positions to launch assaults against the President.
The most valuable thing currently out of reach to the Democrats is the President’s tax returns.
But it isn’t all they are looking for.
Democrats are also launching investigations into the President’s businesses and into the business relationships of his family members.
In particular, they are looking into Trump properties like his hotel in Washington, D.C., and his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
They believe he is using his position as President to profit off those businesses.
But it is a ridiculous claim to make, considering Trump’s net worth has gone down since taking office.
If Democrats truly cared about a politician exploiting their influence for profit, they would look into Hillary Clinton.
During her time as Secretary of State, world leaders donated to her family’s foundation in return for political access.
There are countless examples of these donations seeming to have an influence on decisions made by the Secretary of State.
But Democrats don’t care about crimes of their own.
