Her response to the Chinese coronavirus has been even worse for Democrats.
One of the Democrats’ main selling points is that they’re more caring than Republicans, but Nancy Pelosi’s response has been far from caring.
Nancy Pelosi held up a bill giving monetary aid to most Americans and small businesses so that she could try getting election changes and more regulations.
Her changes would allow ballot harvesting in every state, meaning that people could give their absentee ballots to volunteers to hand in.
This system is perfect for voter fraud because there’s no accountability for the volunteers to hand in all the ballots they receive.
Nancy Pelosi also wanted airlines to release less greenhouse gases and announce on every flight how much greenhouse gas they’re giving off.
These regulations are counterproductive to the point of the bailout which makes it less likely that airlines will go out of business.
It’s clear that Nancy Pelosi was trying to further Democrats’ causes rather than care for the American people.
Yet now she’s claiming that these changes were needed to “put workers first.”
“We had to take action that put families first and workers first,” Nancy Pelosi said at a press conference. “That’s what we did when we did our first legislation in addressing the emergency directly.”
“It went from a corporate first proposal that the Republicans put forth in the Senate to a workers first — Democratic workers first — legislation,” Pelosi said. “The bill that was passed in the Senate last night and that we will take up tomorrow is about mitigation. Mitigation for all the loss that we have in our economy while still addressing the emergency health needs that we have in our country.”
That’s not at all what happened. The bill that finally passed was close to the original bill.
Nancy Pelosi didn’t successfully change anything, the Democrats just decided that holding up aid for Americans was a really bad look and decided to try and pass another “coronavirus relief” bill later.
Democrats are making the claim that the largest spending bill ever is just “a drop in the bucket.”
They’re going to try and make fundamental changes to America that can’t be undone.
They are going to try and make the government control and spending that is necessary in a time of crisis a permanent fixture.
The Chinese coronavirus is not proving that the American systems are flawed.
It’s proving that Americans care, that they overcome, they innovate and that we will come through this crisis.
