Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats were at a loss for words.
They were facing a crisis that threatened their entire agenda.
And that’s why Pelosi moved to silence the one person who could bring her down for good.
Democrats have long campaigned on registering, banning, and even confiscating guns.
Now safely the majority in the House, they plan on making good on that promise.
Their first step is moving to pass legislation creating a national gun registration database scheme.
Gun-grabbing Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler will hold hearings on this anti-American piece of legislation this week.
House Minority Whip Steve Scalise – who was the victim of a Democrat gunman trying to assassinate Republicans – wanted to testify against this monstrosity, but Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats have denied him that opportunity.
Scalise explained what happened on the Breitbart News Daily radio show.
“They’re moving a gun control bill this week. The Democrats have, with their hard shift to the left, they’re already moving towards taking away the right to law-abiding citizens to have a gun. So we’re having a hearing on gun violence in the new Democrat-controlled House Judiciary Committee, and Doug Collins, the Republican on our side, wanted me to be one of the witnesses to testify,” Scalise began.
He noted that it was out of the ordinary for a member to not be allowed to testify on a matter Congress is taking up.
“Historically, if a member of Congress — Republican or Democrat — wants to testify before a committee and they have something unique to say, we provide that venue from him to do it. We’ve done it in the past when were were in the majority, and Democrats in the previous majority did. For whatever reason, the Democrat in charge of the committee says he won’t let me testify in that same forum. [He is] trying to block my testimony on gun violence. How ridiculous is that?” the House Minority Whip continued.
Finally, Scalise explained what Pelosi and the Democrats were so afraid of.
In 2017, a Bernie Sanders supporter – whose head was filled with conspiracy theories from the fake news media about Trump and Russia – snapped.
The man descended upon Republicans practicing for a Congressional baseball game and tried to massacre them all.
Scalise was wounded by one of the gunshots, and his life – and everyone else’s – was only spared because of the armed member of his security detail.
Democrats are terrified of this message.
The gunman passed a background check.
And this newest gun-grabbing legislation still would not have stopped him from purchasing the weapon he used.
But it is the first step in the confiscation of firearms in America.
Democrats want to know who owns what guns and how many.
That way when they pass a confiscation bill, they’ll know exactly whose doors government agents need to storm through.
Scalise’s story blows up the Democrats narrative.
If he did not have armed security detail that day, over 20 Republican members of the House would have been massacred.
In the end, criminals don’t care about laws.
Gun control only disarms the law-abiding citizen, leaving them at the mercy of murderers.
