CNN destroyed themselves with their awful propaganda coverage.
They are facing a terribly harsh reality.
One piece of data is pushing CNN to the verge of a complete collapse.
Ever since the election CNN has been struggling.
The second quarter of 2021 has been devastating for CNN as they struggle with serious problems.
In the last three months, CNN has lost more than half its viewers. It’s having trouble attracting a million viewers, even during its primetime hours.
On average, just 914,000 primetime viewers chose to watch CNN’s programs.
“In June of 2021, CNN had an average of 580,000 total daily viewers – a drop of 49% compared to June of 2020. The network also lost 59% of its viewers in the critical 25 – 54 age demographic, with an average of 133,000 total day viewers in the demographic for the month of June.” The Daily Caller reported.
CNN lost even more viewers than other major networks.
MSNBC lost a significant amount of its viewership as well and “lost 37% of its total audience compared to June of last year. The network had an average of 763,000 total viewers in June of 2021 and 99,000 viewers in the 25 – 54 age demographic, a drop of 48%.” The Daily Caller continued.
Meanwhile Fox News has managed to keep the largest amount of viewers and saw the smallest decrease in their numbers.
“From January 2021 to June 2021, CNN and MSNBC also lost a substantial part of their audience. In terms of total day viewers, CNN lost 69% of its viewers and MSNBC lost 54% of its viewers. Fox News lost just 14% of its total viewers during that same time period.” The Daily Caller added.
Former President Donald Trump explained why the viewership is down for the liberal networks.
“CNN ratings are down 70%. MSDNC is also way down,” he said. “Actually, they are ALL way down. They say the news is ‘boring’ since I left D.C. Morning Joe, Joy Reid (whoever that is?), Nicole Wallace, Jake Tapper, and even Chris Wallace, at Fox, in free fall. A wonderful thing to see!”
CNN was shortsighted when they gave over their network completely to attacking Trump.
“CNN and MSNBC were one-trick ponies, and that trick was bashing Trump,” Cornell Law School professor and media critic William A. Jacobson told Fox News.
“Now that Trump no longer is president, they have tried to keep up the mania, but it’s hard. The audience has disappeared because it never was loyal to CNN and MSNBC hosts, it was loyal to Trump hatred,” Jacobson added. “It’s not hard to imagine executives at CNN and MSNBC saying nightly prayers that Trump runs for president in 2024.”
