John McCain is a key player in the swamp’s scheme to remove Donald Trump from office.
He’s neck deep in scandal.
And now one piece of paper could end up finishing his career for good.
McCain played a central role in spreading the fake news about Trump colluding with Russia to rig the 2016 election.
He dispatched David Kramer – a former State Department official – to London to personally retrieve a copy of the Fusion GPS “Trump-Russia” dossier.
McCain then hand delivered the document to former FBI Director James Comey.
Once Comey briefed Trump on the dossier, it leaked to the press and the collusion narrative was off to the races.
The dossier – which was nothing more than a Clinton campaign funded opposition research document – was possibly used by the FBI to start the collusion investigation and obtain FISA warrants to spy on Trump campaign officials.
But who were the shadowy Russians Christopher Steele paid for this misinformation?
Kramer says he knows the sources but refused to reveal them to House Intelligence Committee investigators.
Now the committee has subpoenaed him to be put under oath and forced to reveal the names.
The Daily Caller reports:
“The House Intelligence Committee has issued a subpoena for an associate of Arizona Sen. John McCain’s who revealed last week that he knows the names of the Russian sources used in former British spy Christopher Steele’s infamous dossier.
A congressional source tells The Daily Caller that California Rep. Devin Nunes issued the subpoena on Wednesday for David J. Kramer, a former State Department official.
Kramer refused to divulge the names of Steele’s sources during a Dec. 19 interview with the panel, the source says.
Steele used Russian sources to gather information on the Trump campaign and Donald Trump’s activities in Russia. The ex-spy was working for Fusion GPS, an opposition research firm that was on the payroll of the Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee…
… Kramer, a former executive at the McCain Institute for Leadership, has been a low-key but central figure in the dossier saga.
He and McCain were first told about the report in Nov. 2016 by Sir Andrew Wood, a former British diplomat and associate of the London-based Steele’s.
On Nov. 28, 2016, Kramer traveled to London to meet with Steele to discuss the dossier. Kramer and Steele arranged for a copy of the dossier to be provided to McCain. After Kramer returned back to the U.S., Steele instructed Fusion GPS to provide a copy of the document to McCain and Kramer.”
The FBI has stated they have yet to be able to verify the central claim of the dossier – namely that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians.
Determining who planted that information will go a long way towards putting this hoax investigation to rest.
