Former First Lady Michelle Obama injected herself into the middle of the presidential campaign.
Democrats wish she didn’t.
Now this video of Michelle Obama is going to cause big trouble for Joe Biden.
Michelle Obama recorded a 24 minute video for Joe Biden centered on the “closing argument” for the 2020 election.
Joe Biden focused his final message on unifying the country and bringing Republicans and Democrats together.
Michelle Obama undercut that argument by ranting and raving for 24 minutes about how America is a racist country filled with white supremacists that want to kill black people for fun.
“To all the young people out there, to all the Black and Brown folks, to anyone who feels frustrated and alienated by this whole system — I get it. I really do,” Obama stated.
Obama zeroed in on Donald Trump undoing Barack Obama’s plan to destroy Republican suburbs by mandating communities build low income multifamily housing units.
President Trump repealed this order and Michelle Obama falsely claimed the President was “lying about how minorities will destroy the suburbs … whipping up violence and intimidation.”
“Racism, fear, division — these are powerful weapons and they can destroy this nation if we don’t deal with them head on,” Obama added.
Obama then claimed that a study showing seven percent of Black Lives Matter protests – which added up to nearly 600 violent uprisings – which broke out into riots was somehow evidence the revolutionary movement staged peaceful protests and that Donald Trump was “racist” for pointing out the truth.
Former First Lady Obama claimed Trump was “pinning [violence] on what’s been an overwhelmingly peaceful movement for racial solidarity; it’s true, research backs it up; only a tiny fraction of demonstrations have had any violence at all … What the president is doing is … racist.”
Finally, Michelle Obama concluded by attacking America as a racist country full of white people that seek out black people in order to harm them.
Obama pleaded with swing voters “to think about all those folks like me and my ancestors” who Obama claimed are forced “to walk around your own country scared that someone’s unjustified fear of you could put you in harm’s way.”
A former First Lady telling Americans they are a racist people inhabiting an evil country is not a unifying message.
In fact, it is a hateful and divisive stump speech.
Michelle Obama delivered a similar speech at the poorly received Democratic National Convention that provided Joe Biden no bounce in the polls.
If Democrats hone their closing argument in on America being a racist country then Donald Trump can erase Joe Biden’s lead in the polls and win the election.
