Oprah sparked massive speculation about a 2020 Presidential bid with her speech at the Golden Globes.
Liberals dreamed she was the one who could defeat Donald Trump.
And just 24 hours later, Oprah finally made her Presidential ambitions known.
In the wake of her speech, media buzz hit a fevered pitch.
CNN’s Brian Stelter claimed that two sources close to Oprah stated she was actively considering a 2020 Presidential run.
“The two friends, who requested anonymity in order to speak freely, talked in the wake of Winfrey’s extraordinary speech at the Golden Globes Sunday night, which spurred chatter about a 2020 run.
Some of Winfrey’s confidants have been privately urging her to run, the sources said.
One of the sources said these conversations date back several months. The person emphasized that Winfrey has not made up her mind about running…
…Winfrey has deflected questions about a presidential run in the past, but she has also acknowledged that President Trump’s election upended assumptions about how to pursue political office.
After the speech, Winfrey’s longtime partner Stedman Graham was quoted saying a run is a possibility.
“It’s up to the people,” Graham told a Los Angeles Times reporter. “She would absolutely do it.”
But just 24 hours later, Oprah popped their balloon.
NEW: A source close to @Oprah tells @tvkatesnow as of today, she has no intention of running for President in 2020:
“It’s not happening. She has no intention of running,” the source said.
Source says that’s from Oprah herself.

Oprah as a Presidential candidate would be a liberal dream.
But would America really want the Queen of the Hollywood elite lecturing them about identity politics for four years?
If Oprah were to jump into the race, she would end up with half the country hating her guts.
Oprah for President sounded great on media twitter, but it is unlikely to become a reality.
