Charlamagne tha God hosts the popular morning show “The Breakfast Club” which is now a destination appearance for any Democrat holding national ambitions.
On his Brilliant Idiots podcast with co-host comedian Andrew Schulz, Charlamagne threw cold water on Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s scheme to jail Trump on charges that Trump covered up a federal campaign finance violation when Michael Cohen paid Stormy Daniels $130,000 over allegations of an affair that is now 17 years old.
“If they indict a former president, it’s not gonna be for these charges. These charges are weak as f—, bro,” Charlamagne began.
One of the show’s producers chimed in expressing the belief that the Manhattan D.A.’s charges were just designed as a placeholder until Democrat prosecutors in Washington and Atlanta could lower the boom.
“Basically they’re saying that this small thing is just to hold them and then there’s gonna be a bunch of other charges,” the producer stated.
Schulz disagreed and explained that what was really going on was that the Democrats launched this witch hunt to send a message to Trump that if he followed through with running for president the Democrats would throw him in jail.
“What they’re saying is Trump don’t run for president. That’s what they saying. And he’s not getting the message,” Schulz interjected.
Polling data indicates Schulz is right about why Democrats are threatening Trump with arrest as a new McLaughlin and Associates poll found Trump leading Biden by five points.

Former President Donald Trump definitively leads President Joe Biden among likely voters in a potential 2024 matchup, a McLaughlin poll found Thursday.
Forty-eight percent of respondents said they supported Trump, while only 43 percent supported Biden — a 5-point spread.
With the 2024 general election 20 months away, Trump also leads Biden in battleground states. A majority of 51 percent supported Trump, while only 41 percent backed Biden.
Charlamagne agreed with that but cautioned Democrats that bringing charges that even liberals knew were bogus would only strengthen Trump politically.
“So why make him bigger?” Charlamagne responded. “You know what this s— is, man, you remember on ‘Endgame’ when Thanos got hit in the chest and he’s like, ‘You should have went for the head.’ If it’s not a head-shot — don’t do it.”
Schulz agreed saying that if Trump beat the rap in court it would guarantee Trump’s re-election.
“I mean that is a hundred percent right. If you arrest him and he gets off, he’ll be president guaranteed,” Schulz shot back.
