Robert Mueller is on the verge of completing his report.
But Democrats don’t seem to be celebrating.
After being cheered on by the left for two years, Mueller is now poised to leave Democrats high and dry.
Robert Mueller is about to wrap up his investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election after nearly two years.
But something odd is taking place in Washington.
Democrats had spent months cheering Mueller on, treating him like a messiah figure who would deliver them from Donald Trump’s presidency.
Maxine Waters led the charge calling for impeachment.
Many on the left believed that Mueller would take the President down by himself.
Others predicted that his report would include such damning evidence against Trump that it would cripple him in 2020 as he tries to seek a second term in office.
But in the past few weeks, things have taken a serious turn, and it now appears as if Mueller is on the cusp of disappointing Democrats in a major way.

“Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper on Wednesday raised the possibility that special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on his Russia investigation could be “anti-climactic.”
Clapper spoke to CNN where he revealed that his prediction for the Mueller report will be anything but good news for Democrats.
The left has more or less put all their eggs into Mueller’s basket over the past two years.
Hardly any Democrats questioned Mueller’s probe, with most of them predicting that he would play a serious role in taking down Trump’s presidency.
And with it increasingly looking like Mueller won’t actually deliver on what Democrats had been betting on, the left is now in a panic.
Democrats doubled-down on Mueller and went all-in on the Special Counsel.
Now they’re stuck between a rock and a hard place where they either have to stick to their decision to tie themselves to the Special Counsel, or they have to break ranks with him in order to continue parroting their Trump-Russian collusion conspiracy theory.
The end result is a lose-lose for Democrats either way.
“Clapper said the Mueller probe will answer many questions about possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia during the 2016 presidential election; however, some may view its findings far from conclusive,” adds Breitbart.
“I think the hope is that the Mueller investigation will clear the air on this issue once and for all. I’m really not sure it will, and the investigation, when completed, could turn out to be quite anti-climactic and not draw a conclusion about that,” Clapper said.
Clapper has been a fierce critic against President Trump for years. He is routinely looped in with other top government officials who oppose the President as members of the so-called “Deep State”.
And yet, Clapper seems to be admitting that Mueller is about to strike a serious blow to those hoping the President would be taken down by his report.
With hope fading, Democrats are already working overtime to move the goal posts, with several stating that Mueller’s report won’t settle anything.
Among those is California Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff, who has vowed to conduct his own investigation through the House Intelligence Committee if Mueller’s report doesn’t give Schiff what he wants.
