Ron DeSantis is possibly the most successful governor in America.
Now, he just scored yet another major political victory.
And it’s all because of one humiliating defeat Florida just inflicted on the two most liberal states in America.
For the first time in generations, Florida has snatched the title of fastest growing state in America.
The news came at a time when Florida recently catapulted itself over New York to become the third largest state in the country, behind only Texas and California.
And that population growth led to Florida gaining a congressional seat in the 2020 census which ended up flipping red during the 2022 midterms.
Now, it appears Florida is on track to gain even more seats in Congress in 2030 thanks to the rapid population growth the state has experienced since 2020.
MSN reports, “Florida, which has seen a surge in migrants since the onset of the pandemic, was the state with the fastest-growing population in 2022, taking top spot for the first time since 1957, Census Bureau data show. Florida’s population increased by 1.9% to 22.2 million between 2021 and 2022, the data show, surpassing Idaho, which led last year. Florida had the second-largest numeric gains, behind Texas.”
With Florida’s population already numbering over 20 million, the population growth rate in the state is astonishingly high, and it represents a massive influx of people fleeing the draconian policies of liberal blue states like New York, Illinois, and California.
Over 100,000 people from New York alone chose to relocate to Florida since the beginning of COVID.
And now, Florida’s new title as being the fastest growing state in America has dealt a humiliating defeat to New York and California, by highlighting the horrific results of decades of uninterrupted left-wing mismanagement over two of America’s largest states.
Both California and New York have seen massive population losses over the last three years, with New York losing a shocking 1% of its entire population in just a single year.
California likewise lost hundreds of thousands of people who fled the state’s tyrannical COVID mandates, record-setting tax burdens, and sky-high crime rates for freer states like Texas, Tennessee, and Florida.
And by overtaking New York as the third largest state in the country, Ron DeSantis sent a message to the rest of America about which set of policies succeed and which ones fail.
Because while the people of New York and California were unable to throw off the rule of left-wing politicians in 2020 and 2022, many of them simply voted with their feet and left the state altogether.
And it has been this mass migration out of some of the bluest states in America which has dealt the largest humiliating defeat for Democrats in years.
As a result, DeSantis has proven that left-wing policies do not work, and while they can enable politicians to cling to power even in declining states, it will inevitably result in people picking up shop, voting with their feet, and moving out if given enough time.
