The current polling data shows Donald Trump trailing Joe Biden.
But there is one fact everyone is overlooking.
Rush Limbaugh saw one trend in the polling data that no one had picked up on.
There is much discussion flying back and forth in the political world as to if the polling industry fixed the flaws in their methodology that caused everyone to miss Donald Trump’s win in 2016.
But that is missing a key point.
Even in the current media polling data there is movement in battleground states towards Donald Trump.
As evidence, Rush Limbaugh cited battleground state polls conducted by Fox News in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan.
Ohio was the state where the polling showed the biggest shift to President Trump with the President going from a five point deficit to a three point lead.
Limbaugh noted that the fake news media did not givenearly as much coverage to the Ohio poll showing Trump up three and the one that showed Biden leading by five.
“So it’s all moving in the right direction. In addition to that, Trump has picked up eight points in Ohio in one month, and the Drive-Bys are quiet. It’s worthy to note that the Drive-By Media is ignoring this. But they made a big deal about Biden being up five in Ohio, and now that he’s gone the opposite way, they are standing mute. They’re conditioning voters to expect Biden to win,” Limbaugh added.
In addition, Fox News polls in Wisconsin showed Biden’s lead shrinking from eight points to five and in Pennsylvania,Biden’s lead shrunk from seven points to five.
One way to judge the state of the race is to track how a pollster reports the results in a race over multiple polls.
If a pollster using the same methodology shows one candidate gaining five points in a race, you can see the race is turning in his favor.
Limbaugh reported that President Trump also saw momentum in the biggest swing state of them all – Florida.
“Oh. We’ve got some new polling data in from Florida, and it’s Rasmussen. Let’s see… Trump now is 49, Biden 46 in Florida. ‘Trump holds a three-point lead in Florida, a state critical to whether or not the president is reelected.’ It’s a Rasmussen telephone survey and online, by the way, of likely voters in Florida. It’s always the sample that you want,” Limbaugh added.
The fake news media has spent months claiming the polling data is steady and that Biden is on track for a landslide.
But in reality, Donald Trump is running closer to Joe Biden in the battleground states than he was against Hillary Clinton at this time in 2016.
And in several key states there is polling movement toward the President.
