Russia continues to escalate its invasion of Ukraine.
Many Americans fear the worst as the war widens.
And now Sean Hannity just revealed the one thing that could start World War Three.
Sean Hannity expressed support for some dangerous and risky proposals that would force America into a shooting war with Russia.
If American and Russian forces exchanged hostilities a nuclear war could not be far behind.
That’s why many viewers could not understand why Hannity advocated for NATO bombing the 40-mile-long Russian military convoy that is currently stalled about 15 miles outside of Kyiv.
If NATO followed Hannity’s advice a nuclear war with Russia would not be far behind.
But then Hannity also declared on his Fox News show that American special forces should assassinate Vladimir Putin.
Hannity correctly stated that Putin was evil and a thug.
And America is imposing sanctions on the Russian economy and sending defensive weapons to Ukraine.
But Hannity then proposed attempting to assassinate Vladimir Putin.
“It’s a simple rule in life. If you invade an innocent country and you kill women and children and men, you forfeit your right to lead a country and you forfeit your right to live. And I hope the people around Vladimir Putin take action sooner than later,” Hannity began.
Hannity did point out that President Gerald Ford banned the U.S. assassinating foreign leaders through a 1976 executive order.
“Now currently the U.S. operates under a decades-old executive order signed by [former President] Gerald Ford that prohibits the U.S. government employees from engaging in political assassinations. But my final question tonight is when it comes to Putin, is it now time to visit the rule? My rule I like better. New rule. You invade a sovereign country, you kill innocent men, women and children, you forfeit your right to run a country and you forfeit your life to live. It’s that simple,” Hannity continued.
Presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan signed two additional executive orders superseding Ford’s original order.
But Hannity reasoned that if America took out Putin the war would end instantly.
“Cut off the head of the snake, the snake dies,” Hannity concluded.
The U.S. does not assassinate foreign leaders because the United States is supposed to stand for a rules-based order.
Assassinating foreign leaders also opens Pandora’s box on what happens if the plot fails or the other country finds out.
It is understandable that Americans want to find a way to stop Putin.
If Putin succeeds in Ukraine, he could very well invade NATO members Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland.
And that is how – if Putin isn’t stopped – an invasion of Ukraine could spill over into World War Three.
