Bill and Hillary Clinton just got smacked with news that could signal their downfall.
The family has suffered defeat after defeat over the past several years, from losing the presidency to Barack Obama and Donald Trump, to watching their political allies desert them after losing in 2016.
But now, one massive sex trafficking scandal could be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
The Clinton family has had several close calls with major scandals in the past, from Whitewater in the 1990s to Hillary’s email scandal in 2016.
But this latest scandal could finally mark the end of the Clinton political dynasty.
Reuters reports, “American financier Jeffrey Epstein pleaded not guilty on Monday to charges of sex trafficking as prosecutors accused him of luring dozens of girls as young as 14 to his luxury homes in New York and Florida and paying them for sex acts.”
The Clintons are shaking in their boots right now, but not because Epstein was caught.
They’re afraid because of their own connections to the billionaire sex offender.
Epstein’s criminal operation has stretched as far as Florida and New York, up and down the East Coast, and there has long been speculation of the billionaire using his private island in the Virgin Islands to sexually molest children.
And Epstein has been close friends with the Clintons the entire time.
He’s even given money to the Clinton Foundation in hopes of obtaining political influence once Hillary became president.
Of course, that never happened and Epstein’s gamble failed him.
But his connections to the Clintons remains a massive problem.
Even Nancy Pelosi’s daughter is pointing out the possibility that Epstein’s own downfall could also bring many prominent Democrats down with him.
“It is quite likely that some of our faves are implicated but we must follow the facts and let the chips fall where they may – whether on Republicans or Democrats,” Christine Pelosi said after his arrest.
What’s more, Trump predicted that Epstein, who he knew from his business before running for President, could be a massive liability for the Clintons.
“[Epstein has] got a lot of problems coming up, in my opinion, with the famous island, with Jeffrey Epstein. A lot of problems,” Trump said cryptically in 2016, suggesting that Epstein could face legal trouble for his alleged behavior.
And now reality has finally caught up with him.
While it remains to be seen whether Epstein acted entirely alone or had connections to other people, his political affiliation with several high-profile Democrats has left many in the party freaking out like never before.
And it’s all because he has the potential to be a massive drag on the party in the lead up to the 2020 elections.
Democrats can’t argue that President Trump is unfit to continue to hold office if their own party leaders are implicated in a massive human trafficking scandal.
