Joe Biden’s border disaster has Democrats turning on him in droves.
After triggering the biggest migrant crisis in decades, the knives are coming out for Biden.
And it’s all because a blue border town just declared a state of emergency over his disastrous policies.
Joe Biden’s gross mismanagement of the southern border crisis has become so bad that fellow Democrats within his own party are finally beginning to turn on him.
And nowhere is this more clear than some of the deep-blue border towns that lie along the Rio Grande River.
Now, one city which has supported Democrats for president for 40 years is now turning its back on Joe Biden.
And it’s all because of one shocking state of emergency that was just declared over Biden’s own self-induced migrant crisis.
The Associated Press reports, “The mayor of a Texas border city declared a state of emergency Saturday over concerns about the community’s ability to handle an anticipated influx of migrants across the Southern border.
“El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser issued the state of emergency declaration to allow the city on the U.S. border with Mexico to tap into additional resources that are expected to become necessary after Title 42 expulsions end on Dec. 21, the El Paso Times reported.”
El Paso has been a solid-blue border town for decades.
One of the largest liberal enclaves in the American Southwest, El Paso delivered an overwhelming margin for Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election, giving the Democrat a two-to-one victory in the country against Donald Trump.
But after loyally supporting Democrats for years, El Paso is now suffering at the hands of left-wing policies that have helped to trigger one of the largest border crises in American history.
And there is no sign that things will get better any time soon.
“Leeser had previously resisted issuing an emergency declaration, but said he was moved to action by the sight of people on downtown streets with temperatures dipping below freezing,” adds the Associated Press.
“A ruling Friday by the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals means restrictions that have prevented hundreds of thousands of migrants from seeking asylum in the U.S. in recent years are still set to be lifted Wednesday, unless further appeals are filed.”
Joe Biden has intentionally chosen to do nothing to address a crisis of his own making.
And now, he is forcing cities that even voted for him to bear the burden of his open borders policies.
That’s why the city has declared a state of emergency, and for Joe Biden it amounts to a political disaster, as El Paso is refusing to quietly take the brunt of his policies and remain out of the public eye in the process.
Instead, Biden is being dealt a humiliating public scandal related to the migrant crisis on the southern border.
And it is some of the bluest cities in America that are helping to make it a reality.
