The Supreme Court is about to deal one crippling blow to the Democrats’ top agenda.
But the Left won’t give up without a fight.
And now, the Left just demanded the unthinkable from this Supreme Court justice.
With the newly-minted conservative Supreme Court making its mark on American politics in a major way, the Left is beginning to lose their minds.
First, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
Then, the court struck down anti-Second Amendment laws in New York.
And now, the Left is demanding that conservative Justice Amy Coney Barrett recuse herself from a looming court case regarding free speech and government-compelled speech policies.
The Washington Examiner reports, “Justice Amy Coney Barrett was urged to recuse herself from an upcoming Supreme Court case on free speech and LGBT issues by former members of a niche Christian group she is affiliated with, arguing the faith organization has discriminatory policies against same-sex marriage.”
Democrats in Colorado passed a series of laws to demand that people within the state celebrate the LGBTQ ideology through their own businesses.
And these laws are now the focal point of a new lawsuit heading to the Supreme Court, as conservatives point out that compelled speech codes are unconstitutional under the First Amendment.
“The case in question is 303 Creative LLC v. Aubrey Elenis and surrounds custom web developer Lorie Smith, who is arguing on the basis of free speech that Colorado’s public accommodation or anti-discrimination law has barred her from working on wedding websites for nearly six years by preventing her from denying service if a customer asks her to design a webpage celebrating same-sex unions,” adds the Washington Examiner.
But now, left-wing activists are demanding that Barrett recuse herself from the case simply because of her own religious worldview.
“Former members of the People of Praise organization recently told the Guardian that the justice’s ‘lifelong and continued’ membership in the Christian group means she cannot rule impartially in the case surrounding a Colorado web designer who says her religious beliefs prevent her from creating custom wedding websites that celebrate same-sex marriages,” adds the Washington Examiner.
This marks the latest story in a long series of events where the Left has tried to intimidate the Supreme Court after Donald Trump was able to appoint three Court justices.
With the Left having lost their majority on the Supreme Court, they have resorted to the only strategy they have remaining in order to get their way — intimidation.
That’s why a left-wing radical tried to assassinate Justice Kavanaugh over the summer, and it’s also why left-wing activist groups are trying to pressure Justice Barrett into stepping down from this looming court case.
Until the Left can recapture their majority on the court, they will continue to use increasingly aggressive tactics to try and impose their will on the judiciary, even if it means breaking the law or trying to intimidate justices.
The reason why is because the Left cannot tolerate any branch of government remaining outside of their control.
This is also why Democrats in Congress have tried to expand the Supreme Court with court-packing schemes to give Joe Biden a series of new court seats to fill, and it’s also why Democrats have pushed for other bills to demand that justices be forced to step down after a certain period of time.
But absent of any legal mechanism to regain their power on the court, the Left will resort to brute force and intimidation to try and get their way.
