Unthinkable tragedy struck when a crazed gunman murdered 27 innocents at a church in Sutherland, Texas.
Barack Obama and other liberals immediately pounced to exploit the tragedy to take Americans’ guns away.
But there is something in the killer’s past that Obama and other liberals don’t want you to know.
When a shooter killed 27 victims between the ages of 5 and 72 in Texas on Sunday, Obama and other liberals leapt at the chance to exploit their deaths to push gun control.
Obama raced to social media to politicize the tragedy and call for the government to shred the Second Amendment.
May God also grant all of us the wisdom to ask what concrete steps we can take to reduce the violence and weaponry in our midst.

But the left’s calls for gun control ran into reality.
The killer purchased his weapon in 2014 after apparently lying on his background check form.
He checked the box claiming he had no disqualifying criminal history despite having been court-martialed by the Air Force in 2012 over allegations that he had abused his wife and child.
CNN reports:
“Kelley was once a member of the US Air Force, spokeswoman Ann Stefanek said. He served in logistics readiness at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico, starting in 2010.
Kelly was court-martialed in 2012 for two counts of Article 128 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, assault on his spouse and assault on their child, Stefanek said. Kelley received a bad conduct discharge, confinement for 12 months and a reduction in rank, she said. The Air Force did not provide a date of the discharge.”
These charges should have prevented him from legally buying a weapon.
Business Insider reports:
“Devin Patrick Kelley, the man authorities suspect killed 26 and injured 20 in the deadliest mass shooting in Texas history, should have been prohibited from buying a gun under US law.
A former airman with the US Air Force, Kelley, received a dishonorable discharge from the military, after charges of assault against his spouse and child led him to be court-martialed.
Military members dishonorably discharged cannot legally purchase a gun, but somehow Kelley managed.
Furthermore, Kelley’s assault against his wife and child likely qualify as domestic violence, which also legally disqualifies a citizen from gun ownership.
On the federal government’s firearm transaction record, which buyers must legally fill out, Kelley would have had to state that he had never been convicted of a felony. Both Kelley’s assault counts likely went down as felonies. Lying on the firearms transaction record is an additional felony punishable by up to five years in jail.”
Gun control failed to stop a murderer who had no intention of following the law to obtain a firearm.
Had Obama and the liberals gotten their way – and law abiding citizens were completely disarmed – the massacre would have been worse.
The shooter only fled the scene when a heroic neighbor picked up his own rifle and engaged the killer and even wounded him with one shot.
Without a good guy with a gun, a bad guy with a gun would have taken even more lives.
