Consequences are coming for the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal.
Biden can have no justification for the choices he made.
There’s an investigation coming that is making Joe Biden shake with fear.
President Joe Biden said that the execution of the withdrawal from Afghanistan which resulted in hundreds of Americans being left behind and 13 dead U.S. service members was an “extraordinary success.”
America didn’t even manage to get out the majority of our Afghan allies, instead filling planes with refugees who have vaguely been described as being “at-risk” from the Taliban.
America First Legal is requesting that there be transparency with the American people.
They have made six Freedom of Information Act requests to various government agencies asking questions about Biden’s withdrawal.
The group is asking the Department of Defense what kind of information has been handed over to the Taliban amid reports that the American government gave the Taliban a “kill list,” and they also requested reports, details about the “abandoned equipment and assets” and about leaving Bagram Air Base.
America First Legal board member and former Trump administration official Stephen Miller told The Daily Caller that the Biden administration cannot attempt a “cover-up.”
“They [the Biden administration] have refused to provide transparent information to the American people,” Miller said. “I don’t think that a cover up would be sustainable, especially given the loss of life that has taken place and especially given the stranding of American citizens and the extent and the scope of the catastrophe that has unfolded.
“How long it will take is a separate question, but we will eventually get answers,” he said. “There’s just no way to fathom the degree of deadly and just disastrous incompetence that we’ve seen from this administration.”
America First Legal is also asking the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for records about their “screening, vetting, or processing for individuals seeking evacuation or resettlement out of Kabul, Afghanistan.”
Miller noted to The Daily Caller his problems with the way the evacuations were carried out.
“The whole entire point of an evacuation is to evacuate your own citizens and permanent residents and those deemed a national security priority, not to evacuate people at random because they don’t wanna live in Afghanistan anymore,” he said.
“There’s 40 million people in Afghanistan. If our policy is to take everyone that doesn’t want to live there that’s going to be many many millions of people and so that’s obviously not an intelligible goal. That’s effectively what the Biden administration has done. They’ve airlifted out of the country at random,” Miller added.
Normally, vetting refugees is an18 to 24-month process with 14 steps; it’s necessary to know how the process was different for the 120,000 people from Afghanistan the Biden administration evacuated.
