With just days to go until the election, Democrats and Republicans are looking for any advantage they can find.
This fight for every inch of political terrain is even more pronounced in the battleground states.
And now this top Democrat just called in the military to steal one key state from Donald Trump.
Pennsylvania is the biggest must-win state on the Electoral Map.
Both Joe Biden and Donald Trump know that whoever wins Pennsylvania wins the election.
Democrats became worried when Black Lives Matter rioters looted stores in Philadelphia following police shooting Walter Wallace Jr. after Wallace wielded a knife.
President Trump wanted to fashion the last few months around law and order and Democrats got nervous about multiple nights of rioting in the biggest city in the most important state.
Pennsylvania’s Democrat Governor Tom Wolf made sure to have the National Guard out to avoid a weekend of rioting leading up to the election.
“The Pennsylvania National Guard is mobilizing several hundred members…[to] assist local agencies in protecting life, property and the right to peacefully assemble and protest,” National Guard spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Keith Hickox stated. “We are able to conduct operations in support of civil authorities to enhance local law enforcement’s ability to provide continued public safety and critical infrastructure security.”
Even Philadelphia’s police commissioner sounded ready to contain the mayhem.
“For today and this evening, we anticipate the chance of additional incidents of civil unrest and, as such, we will be taking additional steps to ensure order,” Commissioner Danielle Outlaw told reporters.
President Trump ripped Philadelphia’s Democrat leadership for allowing this to happen.
“It’s a terrible thing. What I’m witnessing is terrible. And, frankly, that the mayor, or whoever it is, that’s allowing people to riot and loot and not stop them is also just a horrible thing,” President Trump began.
“I saw the event — everybody did, it was on television — it was a terrible event. I guess that’s being looked at very strongly. We have federal — the federal government is looking at it also. But the rioting in Philadelphia, you have to stop it. They have to stop it. It’s a local thing, as you know,” Trump added.
For his part Joe Biden attacked the police officers as being racist for not allowing a knife wielding lunatic to stab them to death.
“Our hearts are broken for the family of Walter Wallace Jr., and for all those suffering the emotional weight of learning about another Black life in America lost,” Biden wrote on social media.
Democrats want to use the National Guard in Philadelphia for political purposes.
Over the summer Democrats thought it was politically advantageous to allow Black Lives Matter rioters to torch American cities.
But now with Election Day just hours away, Democrats see the advantage in bringing in the National Guard to stamp out the riots.
