President Trump is making the right kind of enemies in Washington.
After completely upsetting the political balance of power in 2016, he’s shown no signs of looking back.
And now, one top Trump critic just took a shot at him by committing an act of treason.
It’s no secret that President Donald Trump has upset the apple cart in Washington D.C. after he stormed onto the political scene in 2016.
Since taking office, he’s only made good on his promises to make America great again, and his re-election campaign is now shaping up around the campaign promises he’s made and kept over the past two and a half years.
Among those are immigration reform.
The President has made it clear that his goal is to end illegal immigration, build the wall, and enforce America’s laws.
Meanwhile, Democrats have done everything they can to stop him at every turn, including fighting him in Congress and in the courts.
At the same time, many of the more radical members of Congress have gone so far as to openly help illegal immigrants break America’s laws, just to spite the President.
And one top Trump critic is now choosing to side with illegal aliens over her own Congressional colleagues in a desperate bid to attack the President.
The Daily Caller has the story, “Michigan Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib claimed that no person in the United States is ‘illegal,’ while testifying before a House committee hearing.”
The story is even more bizarre than it seems however, and it’s not the first time that Rashida Tlaib was caught saying something extreme. She made headlines earlier this year after calling Trump a “mother*****” on the night of her swearing-in party.
“First, no one is illegal. That term is derogatory now because it dehumanizes people. You can say any other forms of maybe ‘coming in without any regulations’ or so forth, but the use of ‘illegal’ is disrespectful and I ask my colleagues to try in so many ways to not dehumanize our immigrant neighbors who are trying to come in for safe haven,” Tlaib said.
Those comments were made last Friday at a hearing of the House Oversight Committee, and marked yet another insane turn in the Democratic Party’s latest quest to put illegal immigrants ahead of American citizens.
“The congresswoman, herself the daughter of Palestinian immigrants, spoke about the southern border crisis and the alleged mistreatment of illegal aliens being held in detention facilities, and claimed that a ‘dangerous ideology’ was governing the country,” adds the Daily Caller.
This didn’t sit well with other members of Congress.
Tlaib’s comments ended up backfiring in a spectacular way when one Republican Congressman slammed her for what she said.
“If anyone is in the United States unlawfully, then they are, in fact, an illegal,” said Congressman James Comer (R-KY). “And let me be clear: This is not a manufactured crisis. This is a problem that is getting worse every day, yet this Congress continues to do nothing about the real problem at the border.”
