The collusion investigation is coming to a head.
Investigators have examined all the evidence.
And what Trey Gowdy said about Trump colluding with Russia will leave you speechless.
Trey Gowdy appeared on Martha McCallum’s show to discuss the House Intelligence Committee’s Russia investigation.
The host quizzed him about former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewendowski’s testimony.
McCallum wanted to know if his testimony changed the fact that no evidence of collusion existed.
Gowdy laughed and explained that out of all the testimony and documents the committee had poured through, nothing had been discovered that would implicate anyone on the Trump campaign of colluding with Russia.
The Blaze reports:
“Trey Gowdy laughed when he was asked about a democrat’s concerns over testimony being produced in the investigation into Russian election interference and alleged collusion with the Trump campaign.
“He has said all along that there’s absolutely no collusion, that he has nothing to hide,” Martha MacCallum said of Corey Lewandowski. “Was there anything in today’s testimony that changed that?”
“Nothing, there is no evidence of collusion between Donald Trump and the Russians, between the Trump campaign and the Russians, even between, frankly between hangers-on and wannabes on the campaign,” Gowdy responded. “Now we’re not through interviewing witnesses, but the only person who says he’s seen evidence of collusion is Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), and somehow or another, he saw it before we even began.”
“Other than that, no one can cite to any evidence of collusion which is why they’re now pivoting, Martha, to the obstruction of justice claim and away from collusion,” he added.
“Did Adam Schiff find anything to be concerned with Corey Lewandowski today?” Martha MacCallum asked, eliciting laughter from Gowdy.
“Oh, Adam can always find something to be concerned with, even if he has to manufacture it,” he said.
“His biggest problem is that He got out in front of his skis,” he explained, “and said that he had evidence of collusion that was more than circumstantial, and there ain’t none.”
The collusion investigation is a farce.
Republicans caved to the media and launched these witch hunts last year because they were unable to stand up to catcalls from the press.
They have wasted a year’s worth of time and bogged down the Trump administration in a fake scandal when they could have been building the wall and passing other Trump agenda items.
Do you agree with Trey Gowdy that the idea there is evidence that Trump colluded with Russia is a joke?
