Trey Gowdy heard enough.
The former South Carolina Congressman did not pull any punches.
And Trey Gowdy put one predator Democrat in his place with this question.
On the latest episode of his podcast, Gowdy took on the corporate media double standard with how Democrats are treated as opposed to Republicans when they face allegations of scandal.
Gowdy cited the fawning media coverage for New York Governor Andrew Cuomo despite the fact that Lindsey Boylan first leveled her allegations of sexual harassment last year.
“Where in the heck was the media over the past months and years when this conduct, as it relates to Andrew Cuomo, was alleged to have taken place?” Gowdy wondered.
Gowdy marveled at how the media suddenly took interest in Cuomo’s scandals now that the election was over and the media didn’t need to use Cuomo as a foil for Donald Trump.
“Now they’re on resignation watch,” Gowdy exclaimed. “What were they doing this time last year? The conduct existed this time last year.”
Gowdy ripped the media calling their gushing coverage of Cuomo while ignoring obvious scandals one of the biggest black eyes the corporate media ever suffered.
“It looks really foolish or should look really foolish for them now,” Gowdy added. “They were so busy telling us how wonderful he is that they actually forgot to ask or interview the people who actually work for him.”
Gowdy pivoted to noting how the media covered the allegations against Cuomo as opposed to those made against Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearing.
“The list is long of those who have made accusations and the list is long of those on the receiving end of those allegations and accusations,” Gowdy continued. “What is the standard we can apply consistently and regardless?”
In the Brett Kavanaugh hearings, the activist Democrat media treated baseless allegations by Christine Blasey Ford and Julie Swetnick as fact despite the obvious red flags surrounding their story.
Blasey Ford changed key details about the supposed party she and Kavanaugh attended where Kavanaugh allegedly sexually assaulted her.
And noneof the corroborating witnesses Blasey Ford named denied the event ever took place.
As for Julie Swetnick, the fact that Michael Avenatti represented her should have caused media outlets to pump the brakes on her outlandish claims that Brett Kavanaugh attended parties in high school where gang rapes took place.
A responsible media would have treated the allegations against Cuomo and Kavanaugh skeptically and reported out the claims to determine the truth.
Instead, the press conducted themselves like partisan activists.
That is why polls continually show low trust in the media to tell the truth and fairly report the facts.
