Joe Biden’s presidency is teetering.
The failure to properly withdraw American troops and evacuate civilians from Afghanistan helped turn the public against Joe Biden.
And now Trey Gowdy told Fox News that this was the final nail in Joe Biden’s coffin.
Even Joe Biden’s steadfast allies in the corporate media turned on him over the Afghanistan debacle.
When Joe Biden claimed his administration planned for every contingency and Biden blamed the intelligence community and military for the collapse, a story appeared in The New York Times undercutting Biden’s claims.
The New York Times reports:
Classified assessments by American spy agencies over the summer painted an increasingly grim picture of the prospect of a Taliban takeover of Afghanistan and warned of the rapid collapse of the Afghan military, even as President Biden and his advisers said publicly that was unlikely to happen as quickly, according to current and former American government officials.
By July, many intelligence reports grew more pessimistic, questioning whether any Afghan security forces would muster serious resistance and whether the government could hold on in Kabul, the capital. President Biden said on July 8 that the Afghan government was unlikely to fall and that there would be no chaotic evacuations of Americans similar to the end of the Vietnam War.
Trey Gowdy told Fox News that Joe Biden losing the media is terrible because for Democrats the media “does the heavy lifting.”
Gowdy stated:
When the New York Times is criticizing a Democrat administration it must be really, really bad. So, I think we’re in this mode of people trying to cover their own careers…
I think you have a very compelling case that the media in this country—90% of it is doing the heavy lifting. But, look I was in the House, I went rushing towards the television camera when there was bad news on our side. What would they [Democrats] tell you if they were on? I mean they’re gonna claim to have hearings and hope that we forget. But, the images of people falling from airplanes, the images of women and girls and children being beaten to death by a group that we were negotiating with—how would you explain it?
Many political observers believe there is no way Joe Biden would have won the presidential election without the massive assistance from the corporate media that Biden received.
The corporate press covered up scandals involving Tara Reade’s credible allegations that Joe Biden sexually assaulted Reade when Reade worked in Biden’s Senate office, as well as the evidence on Hunter Biden’s laptop that Joe Biden may have been linked to foreign influence peddling and pay-to-play schemes while he served as vice president.
The press also didn’t examine Biden’s cognitive decline or take seriously the issue that Biden – at 78yearsold – was growing too senile to serve as president.
Biden is not a charismatic or compelling politician that commands a movement of supporters.
The corporate media propped up Joe Biden’s approval rating with Soviet propaganda-style coverage.
But once the media turned on Biden over Afghanistan, the floor fell out from underneath him as evidenced by a new USA Today/Suffolk poll showing Biden’s approval rating plummeted to 41 percent.
And there is every indication that Joe Biden’s approval ratings have further to fall.
