Chuck Schumer and the Democrats only strategy against Donald Trump is sabotage.
They are trying to obstruct his agenda to try and turn the American people against Trump.
But Trump just did the one thing that made Chuck Schumer realize it was the worst day of his life.
Senate Republicans finally advanced the ball on a key Trump agenda item.
The Senate voted 51-49 to pass a budget blueprint that allows Republicans to move tax reform through the upper chamber on a party-line vote and avoid a Democrat filibuster.
Senators also adopted tweaks that passed in the House which allows Congress to slice as much as three weeks off the legislative timetable and pass tax cuts sooner than expected.
Politico reported:
“Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell put the finishing touches on a bicameral budget deal allowing Congress to swiftly move to tax reform, multiple sources in both chambers said.
The Senate approved the budget 51-49 Thursday night, clearing the way to cut as much as three weeks out of the process.
GOP leaders, as well as House Budget Chairman Diane Black and Senate Budget Chairman Mike Enzi, have been ironing out their difference and crafted a Senate amendment full of House-requested tweaks. Because the Senate adopted the amendment during its marathon “vote-a-rama” Thursday, the House could clear the fiscal blueprint as soon as next week.
“They’re still screwing around with it, but they want it done quickly,” said one GOP senator of the tentative deal.
A House GOP aide close to the talks added: “Members know how high of a priority tax reform is, and so that’s how it will be sold.”
The momentum for a unified GOP budget comes as the White House, desperate for a major legislative win, has increased pressure on Capitol Hill to move to tax reform.”
Trump took to Twitter to praise the progress made toward securing a major legislative victory for his Presidency.
He also blasted Schumer and the Democrats for opposing giving working Americans a raise by cutting their taxes.
The Budget passed late last night, 51 to 49. We got ZERO Democrat votes with only Rand Paul (he will vote for Tax Cuts) voting against…..

….This now allows for the passage of large scale Tax Cuts (and Reform), which will be the biggest in the history of our country!

The huge victory for Trump was a crushing defeat for Schumer.
He had planned on Trump having no legislative victories which would depress Republican turnout in 2018 and possibly lead to the Democrats controlling Congress.
They would then grind activity on Trump’s agenda to a halt and possibly move on impeachment.
Either way, they planned on picking apart Trump politically and setting the stage to either remove him from office or set him up for defeat in 2020.
Trump dealt a major blow to both of these schemes with the forward progress on tax cuts.
Now Republicans must pass a bill that cuts taxes for all Americans.
