The American people elected Donald Trump to unwind the failed Obama Presidency.
For four years Obama and his allies were red with rage as they watched Trump dismantle Obama’s legacy one step at a time.
And now Donald Trump just took the one thing from Barack Obama that broke every Democrat’s heart.
In 2019 Donald Trump and Barack Obama tied for first place in Gallup’s “Most Admired Man” poll.
That marked 12 years in a row that Obama sat in the top spot in that survey.
But in 2020 Donald Trump dethroned Barack Obama and won the award outright and ended Obama’s winning streak.
“Americans are most likely to name President Donald Trump and Michelle Obama as most admired man and woman in 2020. Trump tied former President Barack Obama for the honor last year but edged out his predecessor this year. Trump’s first-place finish ends a 12-year run as most admired man for Obama, tied with Dwight Eisenhower for the most ever,” Gallup wrote of their poll results.
Gallup tried to play off President Trump coming in first place in this poll like it was just the normal part of being President.
“The incumbent president is usually top of mind when Gallup asks Americans to name, without prompting, which man living anywhere in the world they admire most. In the 74 times Gallup has asked the open-ended most admired man question since 1946, the incumbent president has topped the list 60 times. Harry Truman (1946-1947 and 1950-1952), Lyndon Johnson (1967-1968), Richard Nixon (1973), Gerald Ford (1974-1975), Jimmy Carter (1980), George W. Bush (2008) and Trump (2017-2018) are the incumbent presidents who did not finish first in past years,” Gallup also wrote.
But this excuse covers up the truth.
No President faced four years of lies, character assassination and conspiracy theories like Donald Trump.
President Trump entered office with the FBI and outgoing administration scheming behind the scenes to frame him for being a Russian spy.
The fake news media ran anonymously sourced stories spreading lies about what President Trump said about veterans and other fabricated allegations of corruption and malfeasance.
So-called reporters also spent the last four years waging a smear campaign calling President Trump a racist on a daily basis.
Despite four years of compounding lies and smears President Trump still topped the poll to be Gallup’s most admired man in America.
This result will be sure to infuriate fake news reporters and the rest of their fellow Democrats who cannot believe anyone would support Donald Trump.
But Trump supporters were heartened to see that enough Americans saw through the lies and conspiracy mongering to displace Barack Obama—of whom many Americans can find nothing at all to admire—as Americans’ most admired man.
