The popular Fox News host sounded the alarm about an underhanded Democrat scheme.
And Tucker Carlson blew the whistle on this election scam Democrats tried to slip through.
Democrats are trying to hang on to their Senate majority by hook or by crook.
With traditional swing state races beginning to look grim the left took an unconventional path to try and flip a Republican-held seat.
In deep red Utah Democrats did not field a party-endorsed candidate to challenge Republican incumbent and conservative stalwart Mike Lee.
But that did not mean Democrats don’t have a challenger to Lee.
That’s where Never Trump useful idiot Evan McMullin comes in.
McMullin is a former CIA officer who ran as a third party “conservative” in 2016 to try and deny Trump the presidency.
In 2016 McMullin won less than half of one percent of the vote nationally but won 20 percent in his home state of Utah.
That led to McMullin running as a so-called “independent” candidate against Lee where McMullin hoped to stitch together a coalition of Democrats, Mitt Romney-supporting Republicans and independents to oust Lee.
But as Tucker Carlson pointed out, McMullin is no independent.
“[Evan McMullin]’s running for Senate in the state of Utah against the incumbent Mike Lee and amazingly, he could win, he could actually win. Now, if McMullin does win, his vote could very well give Democrats control of the U.S. Senate. How did this happen? How is this possible? It doesn’t make sense. Utah is a conservative, highly Republican state,” Carlson began.
McMullin’s main donors are all liberals.
McMullin held campaign events with liberal senators like Montana Democrat Jon Tester.
And McMullin hired all Democrat Party-aligned consultants to run his campaign.
Carlson took aim at McMullin’s politics which McMullin falsely claims are conservative.
“Evan McMullin has the same politics and worldview as Pete Buttigieg, he is a liberal Democrat. But he is not running as a liberal Democrat and that’s the key to his success this year. Evan McMullin is running instead as an independent. Many voters appear to be under the impression he actually is independent. But he is not. That’s a lie, a transparent lie. Evan McMullin is roughly as independent as Kamala Harris is. He is considerably less independent than, say, Ilhan Omar,” Carlson added.
In 2016 McMullin claimed he opposed Trump because McMullin claimed Trump was not committed to the pro-life cause.
But now that Donald Trump appointed the Supreme Court justices that overturned Roe, McMullin is now telling liberal media outlets that he supports legislation codifying abortion on demand in all 50 states.
McMullin also supports amnesty for illegal aliens and a whole host of liberal policy priorities.
Carlson concluded by stating that if Utahans wanted to elect a liberal Democrat they had every right to, but that Evan McMullin should be honest with the people of his home state and come clean about the fact that he is a Democrat.
“If voters in Utah want to elect a liberal Democrat, if they want to elect another Pete Buttigieg and they think that Pete Buttigieg’s politics or McMullin’s politics represent the politics of the families of Utah, then go ahead and do it. But don’t lie, be transparent. Say who you are. You are a liberal Democrat,” Carlson declared.
