Michigan Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib is one of the outspoken members of the self-proclaimed “Squad.”
Tlaib and her fellow travelers make effective use of social media to get attention, oppose Donald Trump and push their socialist agenda.
The President’s attempts to put measures in place to mitigate the spread of the Chinese coronavirus provided a perfect opportunity for Tlaib and other Democrats to ramp up their attacks on President Trump to score points in the 2020 campaign.
As the outbreak began to escalate, President Trump declared a National Day of Prayer asking Americans of all faiths to ask their God to grant his blessing upon America in this time of great crisis and fear.
If there is one thing the increasingly secular Democrat Party hates, it is people of faith – especially Christians – openly expressing their values in public displays.
Liberals – if they think religion should even be allowed at all – believe religion is something you keep to yourself except for one hour on Sunday.
Rashida Tlaib escalated the left’s war on Christianity when she shared a tweet from anti-gun fanatic David Hogg.
“Don’t let this administration address COVID-19 like our national gun violence epidemic. #$%^ a National day of prayer, we need immediate comprehensive action,” Hogg tweeted.
The backlash was swift and fierce.
Tlaib – who is morally defiant – quickly backpedaled and claimed she was not insulting people of faith.
“Let me be clear as someone who has been praying through this all & as someone who attended the National Prayer Breakfast. My retweet was not to be an attack on prayer. It was to bring attention to the need for meaningful action to combat this public health crisis,” Tlaib began.
Tlaib added that what America needed – instead of prayer – was economic stimulus.
“We need: Economic stimulus for individuals, families, and our local communities. Testing access for all. Expanded paid sick leave and unemployment benefits. Moratorium on water shutoffs, mortgage/rent payments, and evictions,” Tlaib concluded.
Donald Trump is on record supporting economic stimulus to help small businesses and hospitals weather the Chinese coronavirus outbreak.
The President backs these measures despite not all of his supporters agreeing with the idea that the government can just print money, prop up industries and send government checks to Americans.
But Democrats think because they hate Donald Trump, and the media and other powerful cultural institutions are in their back pocket, they can hurl the ugliest charges possible against Donald Trump and his supporters.
But there is a limit to everything.
And Tlaib ran head-first into that harsh reality when she shared a profane tweet mocking Americans of faith.
