For four years Donald Trump faced unyielding and unprecedented opposition.
Every institution in America lined up to defeat him.
And when Donald Trump wakes up after the election this major change will take place.
Fake news CNN put itself at the forefront of the resistance to Donald Trump.
Under network President Jeff Zucker’s leadership, fake news CNN abandoned all pretense of doing the news and instead became a Democrat Party rapid response operation.
But while hating Donald Trump may have scratched Zucker’s political itch, it did not prove to be a financial winner.
According to the Wall Street Journal, fake news CNN missed its profitability target by $100 to $120 million.
Fake news CNN was absorbed by parent company AT&T in the WarnerMedia merger and now Fox Business Channel’s Charles Gasparino reported that AT&T was looking to sell CNN and Trump nemesis and Amazon Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos was the frontrunner to buy fake news CNN.
“Put this in the genre of ‘heard on the street.’ I used to write the column back in the day when I was young reporter at the Wall Street Journal when you heard investment banking speculation, and this is pretty hot and heavy investment banking speculation that CNN could be for sale, and that the buyer of CNN could be none other than Jeff Bezos, the Amazon founder, current owner, personally, of the Washington Post…
“…It is rampant that Bezos is interested in buying CNN. Fox Business has not been able to confirm Bezos’ interest, he has not called us back. CNN has declined to comment, although people at AT&T, which is the parent company for CNN, have said that they have not really received any interest from Bezos just yet. The reason why we report stories like this deal is because it may be foreshadowing something might come in the future,” Gasparino stated.
Fake news CNN’s financial failures and probable sale will also lead to Jeff Zucker getting the boot when his contract expires next year.
The Wall Street Journal exclusively reported:
Mr. Zucker, who has overseen CNN for seven years, felt blindsided by a recent restructuring carried out by parent WarnerMedia, and has had friction with its chief executive, Jason Kilar, according to people familiar with the situation.
The 55-year-old’s contract expires next year and he hasn’t committed to extending his deal in meetings with WarnerMedia brass and communications with CNN employees, the people say.
Jeff Zucker made it the mission for fake news CNN to defeat Donald Trump.
Now not only may President Trump win the election, but CNN suffered financially and Jeff Zucker could be out of a job.
