Robert Mueller was trying to keep one truth under wraps as long as possible.
One of the great mysteries in Washington was what Mueller would include in his final report.
Now all hell is breaking loose because this whistleblower revealed what Mueller’s report will say about Trump.
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper is one of the most well-connected Deep State operatives in Washington.
Pundits look to his appearances on CNN and try to interpret the tea leaves on the Mueller investigation.
But no one was prepared for what Clapper revealed in his most recent TV appearance.
Clapper told a shocked audience – as well as CNN hosts – that he expected Mueller’s report to be anti-climactic.
“I think the hope is that the Mueller investigation will clear the air on this issue once and for all. I’m really not sure it will, and the investigation, when completed, could turn out to be quite anti-climactic and not draw a conclusion about that,” Clapper explained in a CNN interview broadcast Wednesday morning.
Journalists had reported that sources familiar with the investigation had also leaked this word.
But Clapper is the biggest – and most authoritative name – to flatly state Mueller would turn up no evidence of Russian collusion.
This revelation left the anti-Trump forces scrambling.
Clapper made sure to throw in some boiler plate talking points about Trump being a secret Russian agent.
“The strange thing I think that has bothered a lot of people both in and out of the intelligence community is this strange personal deference to Putin by the president. I’ve speculated in the past that the way Putin behaves is to treat President Trump as an asset,” Clapper ranted.
However, it was clear all the steam had come out of the Mueller probe.
After nearly three years of investigations – first by the FBI and later Mueller – even the most rabid anti-Trump partisans in law enforcement found no evidence to substantiate their conspiracy theory that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians.
The talk then immediately switched to whether Mueller’s report would be made public.
Justice Department regulations stipulate that Mueller must report to the Attorney General on why he filed charges against certain individuals and not others.
But it is Justice Department policy to not comment on investigations against individuals who were not charged.
Since Mueller will not charge Trump for collusion or obstruction of justice, there is a decent chance there will be no “Mueller report” on Trump.
This will be a crushing blow for the fake news media, Democrat Party, and Never-Trump Republicans.
They put all their eggs in the Mueller basket.
And Mueller and his gang of angry Democrat prosecutors are going to come up empty.
But anyone who paid attention to this investigation for the last two years knew this was always going to be the end result.
Mueller never charged anyone for conspiring with Russia.
The special counsel telegraphed for months that this was coming.
But the liberals who refused to accept the results of the 2016 election could never bring themselves to see that reality.
