There was a new twist in the Democrats’ attempted coup to bring down Donald Trump.
Nancy Pelosi and her cronies were smiling from ear to ear.
And that’s because William Barr made one arrest in a major scandal that Adam Schiff couldn’t believe.
Much of the Democrats’ focus in this phony scandal involves Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani’s work with Ukrainians to prove that Joe and Hunter Biden engaged in corruption in Ukraine with regards to shutting down a criminal investigation into an energy company paying Hunter Biden $50,000 a month in an arrangement critics saw as a clear example of influence peddling.
There was just a major break in the case.
And it is causing Donald Trump major headaches.
The Justice Department announced a two count indictment against Ukrainian businessmen Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman who were associates of Rudy Giuliani on campaign finance violations.
Prosecutors in the Southern District of New York accused the two of using an LLC to disguise campaign contributions to gain influence with Republican politicians.
The indictment alleges that the two donated the maximum amount allowable under the law to a Republican member of Congress – believed to be then-Texas Congressman Pete Sessions – and then Fruman donated a second time illegally using Parnas’s name.
Prosecutors allege these campaign contributions were to further their goal of removing the Ukrainian Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch – an Obama holdover who was still in her post in 2018 when the contributions were made.
President Trump eventually replaced Yovanovitch after Sessions, Giuliani and others complained that she was making disparaging remarks about the President behind his back.
Fruman and Parnas were arrested at the airport after purchasing one way tickets to leave the country.
To make matters worse, CNN’s Marshall Cohen reported that, “The FBI and federal prosecutors in NYC are scrutinizing Rudy Giuliani’s financial dealings with the two men charged today. The men, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, are charged with pumping Russian money into US political campaigns.”
These arrests were like Christmas, New Year’s and the Fourth of July all rolled into one for Democrats and the fake and corrupt news media.
The indictment prosecutors laid out never mentioned President Trump.
And there is no hint they are involved in any “quid pro quo” over withholding Ukrainian military aide until that country investigates the Bidens.
But just like in the Mueller witch hunt, every legal development in the Ukraine hoax will be played up in the fake and corrupt news media to mean that doom is just around the corner for the President.
As in the Russian collusion conspiracy theory, the fake and corrupt news media will fill their airwaves and newspaper columns with nothing but speculation.
They don’t know any facts beyond two Ukrainian associates of Rudy Giuliani were arrested.
The media thoroughly discredited itself during the Mueller witch hunt because they let their imaginations run wild and reported anti-Trump fantasies instead of facts.
Americans can buckle up and prepare for a replay of that media embarrassment.
