Attorney General William Barr is getting to the bottom of all the deep state’s sick schemes.
Barr isn’t afraid to take them head-on.
And he just made one bold move that is causing all hell to break loose at the CIA.
While Barack Obama was in office, bureaucrats in the FBI and CIA felt that they could get away with anything.
And in all fairness, they could.
Obama’s Department of Justice let them get away with improper behavior time and time again.
CIA Director John Brennan was even able to get off with no consequences after lying to the American people after getting caught spying on Senate staffers.
Even the far-left website The Guardian called on him to be fired, but Barack Obama and his Justice Department thugs gave him a pass.
But now things are different with President Donald Trump in office.
With William Barr heading the Justice Department, they are now looking into the many wrongdoings of the Obama Administration.
He is first looking into the origins of the Russia hoax, going back to the summer of 2016, with U.S. Attorney John Durham leading an investigation.
And as it turns out, the CIA is in his crosshairs.
Durham has been requesting to speak to CIA analysts in recent weeks.
And according to a reporter, rank-and-file CIA employees are freaking out and hiring lawyers to represent them in a potential criminal investigation.
NBC reporter Ken Dilanian spoke on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” to make this claim.
“It’s really not clear where he’s going with this, but a lot of people are very rattled. Those CIA analysts I mentioned had to hire their own lawyers because no one’s even sure whether this is a criminal investigation or not. And if it is a criminal investigation, what is the allegation of wrongdoing? No one I talked to can answer that,” Dilanian said.
If they did nothing wrong, there would be no reason to hire lawyers.
But there has been a lot of speculation that the CIA was heavily involved in the origins of the Russia investigation.
Months ago, former Rep. Trey Gowdy hinted at exactly how Brennan could find himself in trouble due to Durham’s investigation.
While speaking to Sean Hannity on Fox News, he hinted that investigators should look into emails between former FBI Director James Comey and Brennan relating to Christopher Steele, the former British Spy central to the origins of the probe.
Steele was working on behalf of Fusion GPS, an opposition research firm operating with funds from Hillary Clinton, when he compiled the now-infamous Trump-Russia dossier.
That dossier was used to obtain FISA surveillance warrants on Trump campaign officials.
And those warrant applications were later used to form Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.
Gowdy insists that Comey and Brennan may not have seen Steele as a credible figure.
And as it turns out, new information proves that the spy agency Steele previously worked for actually told the FBI that he had “questionable judgment.”
If both Comey and Brennan were involved, it is hard to imagine that they acted alone.
