Polls show Donald Trump leading Joe Biden in a 2024 rematch.
But Democrats think they have an ace in the hole.
And you won’t believe how Joe Biden plans to stop Trump from running in 2024.
Democrats are counting on hyper-partisan Attorney General Merrick Garland to keep Trump off the ballot in 2024.
Senate Democrats predicted that Attorney General Garland would indict Trump for inciting the events of January 6.
Connecticut Democrat Senator Richard Blumenthal – who lied about being a Vietnam War veteran – told The Hill that “clearly what [Trump] did” in the run up to January 6 “falls in the ambit of what’s being investigated and perhaps is criminal.”
Virginia Democrat – and failed Hillary Clinton running mate – Tim Kaine also hinted at criminal charges for Donald Trump.
“They have all of the evidence at their disposal,” Kaine told The Hill.
“I believe there are federal statutes that are very much implicated,” Senator Kaine added.
Ohio Democrat Sherrod Brown – who is facing one of the most difficult re-election campaigns in the country in 2024 – also pushed for criminal charges against Trump.
“I think anybody who it’s proven had a role in the planning of [the Jan. 6 attack] should be prosecuted, not just the people who broke in and smashed the window in my office and others,” Brown began.
Brown claimed anyone that had a role in planning January 6 committed treason.
“I think anybody that’s shown to have had a role in its planning absolutely should be prosecuted,” Brown continued. “I mean it was treason, it was trying to overturn an election through violent means.
“I’m not going to say he’s guilty before I see evidence,” but Senator Brown claimed the case against Trump was strong claiming there was “a lot of evidence that he was complicit.”
Democrats know they can push Garland around.
The corporate media and elected Democrats spent months blasting Garland and the Department of Justice for not filing sedition charges against the January 6 protestors, none of whom actually tried to overthrow the government.
Garland responded with a highly political speech intended to placate his critics that many in the corporate media took as a sign the DOJ was investigating Trump.
“The Justice Department remains committed to holding all Jan. 6 perpetrators, at any level, accountable under law — whether they were present that day or were otherwise criminally responsible,” Garland ranted.
Democrats’ hopes of prosecuting Trump increased when Garland brought conspiracy to commit sedition charges against 11 individuals – all of whom left their firearms outside of Washington, D.C. – in a highly politicized attempt to prosecute.
Merrick Garland stands as one of the most deeply political attorney generals in American history.
Garland and the DOJ conspired with the left-wing National School Boards Association on a strategy to smear parents that protested at school board meetings as domestic terrorists.
The DOJ even created a new threat tag to catalogue parents that protested left-wing critical race theory and mask mandates.
So it’s not surprising that Democrat senators expect the deeply political Attorney General Merrick Garland to try and take out Trump from the 2024 race with some sort of bogus criminal indictment.
