Despite the 2020 election being two years away, things are heating up.
Every day, new challengers emerge and fall away.
And one major 2020 challenger just made a horrifying prediction about the race.
It’s hard to imagine a race more intense than the 2016 election.
Hillary Clinton is one of the most corrupt politicians of all time and is as deep in the establishment as possible.
And Donald Trump is an outsider who went to war with the establishment of the Republican Party just as harshly as he did the Democrats.
Things got heated at levels never seen in politics before.
By the end of it, the nation was more divided than ever, but the anti-establishment won in a historic fashion never before seen in history.
After his first year in office, President Trump is doing a lot to bridge the gap to bring America back together.
But the Democrats are doing the opposite, working to divide America just to spite the President.
That division birthed the “resistance,” who put taking down President Trump before everything else, even the future of the country.
No matter what Trump does, they resist it with as much force as possible, even jumping to violence when necessary.
And if what Sen. Kamala Harris says is true, that will only get worse.
Harris is a popular Democrat who clings to the progressive wing of the party.
She is well-liked, and one of the top contenders for the 2020 Democratic nomination.
And she has a grim prediction about the 2020 race.
She believes things are “going to be ugly”.
“Let’s be honest. It’s going to be ugly,” Harris told MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski.
“When you break things, it is painful,” she continued. “And you get cut. And you bleed.”
Her use of words brings back scenes of horrible violence and destruction brought about by left-wing opposition to then-candidate Trump.
At Trump rallies across the country, left-wing radicals violently assaulted Trump supporters.
And at his inauguration, mobs of Democrats took to the streets with the terrorist group Antifa to destroy property and attack police.
Harris is likely referring to “ugly” political attacks coming from both sides.
But speaking about bleeding makes things direr.
Currently, it is unclear who will actually challenge President Trump in 2020.
With the little polling that is available, Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders are the favorites.
But there are a number of candidates, including Harris, who have a fighting chance.
One candidate that many believe will do very well is Rep. Beto O’Rourke.
His challenge to Sen. Ted Cruz, despite being unsuccessful, made him into a major figure in the party.
During his campaign, he raised massive amounts of money from donors all across the country.
And he created a ground game similar to what a presidential campaign would use.
He also created a name for himself.
Giving hope to Democrats in a state like Texas is something that they aren’t going to forget about.
