Fox News Channel viewers were stunned into silence.
No one tuning in ever expected they would hear something like this.
And a Fox News host drove viewers crazy with a massive election double-cross.
On “Fox and Friends” co-host Brian Kilmeade parroted Democrat and corporate media talking points about the 2022 midterm election.
Kilmeade bought into the fake news media talking points that Joe Biden received a boost in the polls because Republicans’ pro-life positions were out of step with the country at large.
“Well, the three things the Democratic Party is polling well in, coronavirus still, which is inexplicable; abortion because they are pro-choice and a lot of the zero tolerance, when it comes to these states has a lot of people freaked out. I think the 15 weeks seems to be – even if you’re the most pro-life person, your neighbor probably isn’t – so how do you govern? So I think those are the issues,” Kilmeade stated.
In reality, Biden’s job approval number inched up as Democrats that were frustrated by Biden’s job performance and think he is too old and senile to be president came home ahead of the election.
Kilmeade ignored that truth to smear pro-lifers as fringe extremists who are incapable of winning elections.
“I believe that one thing I did see over the weekend, six points according to the NBC poll, six points were gained since the Dobbs decision for suburban white woman that were beginning to, who Trump lost in 2020 to a great degree, they were beginning to come back to the Republican Party. Then with that decision, what the Republicans have to do, go to work, explain exactly what they want to do. One of the things they have to do is tackle dicey decisions on abortion where they stand,” Kilmeade stated.
Former Wisconsin Congressman Sean Duffy was guest co-hosting during that broadcast.
Duffy shut down Kilmeade’s falsehoods and left-wing spin by noting that it was really Democrats that were the party of extremists on abortion.
Duffy noted that Democrats support the fringe belief that there should be abortion on demand up until the moment of birth with zero limits.
“On strict political issue on that Republicans have not fought back. There are ads run by Democrats calling Republicans extremists and radicals. Listen, the Democrat position is actually extreme on abortion. It is late-term partial-birth,” Duffy shot back.
Abortion can be a winning issue for Republicans.
In the 2016 election voters who listed the Supreme Court as the number one issue broke 59 to 41 for Donald Trump.
And in the 2021 Virginia gubernatorial election voters who listed abortion as their number one issue voted 58 to 41 percent for Republican Glenn Youngkin.
In the Virginia race eight percent of voters listed abortion as their number one issue.
Youngkin winning nearly 60 percent of those voters likely provided Youngkin’s 2.5 percent margin of victory.
Brian Kilmeade is buying into Democrat Party and fake news media spin.
Viewers expect better from Fox News hosts.
