Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just got put on blast.
The socialist congresswoman is learning being a social media and political lightning rod is a double-edged sword.
And one Fox News star destroyed Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez by speaking this truth.
Fox News Channel star Jesse Watters took aim at Ocasio-Cortez’s lackluster political career during a recent episode.
Watters went back to the beginning and explained how in 2018 when Ocasio-Cortez defeated Congressman Joe Crowley – the number four Democrat in the House and the likely choice to succeed Speaker Pelosi – Ocasio-Cortez was the hot new thing in politics.
But Watters contended that Ocasio-Cortez’s “quick rise to the top wasn’t an accident.” Watters argued Ocasio-Cortez was “a planned, packaged and processed candidate sold to a hungry young generation by a slick and shallow media.”
Watters credited Ocasio-Cortez’s success to socialist activist Saikat Chakrabarti, who later became Ocasio-Cortez’s chief of staff for a brief period of time for her meteoric rise.
But Watters also contended that Ocasio-Cortez’s downfall as a social media and political star coincided with Chakrabarti resigning as her chief of staff.
“But a funny thing happened once her mastermind and chief of staff exited in August 2019, Ocasio-Cortez lost the heat on her fastball,” Watters added. “Without the man behind the curtain, she stopped making a splash on social media, never goes viral anymore, her timing and wit vanished with her chief of staff. Most people no longer care what AOC has to say about health care while she makes dinner in her little apartment, and when she’s pressed on real issues – she has no real answers.”
Watters mocked Ocasio-Cortez for aimlessly running for Congress as a social media clout chaser.
“Did AOC run for Congress just to be famous? She’s on the red carpet more than Ryan Seacrest,” Watters continued.
Watters told viewers that Ocasio-Cortez was among the least productive members of Congress.
“This is because AOC is among the least productive members of Congress. She’s sponsored 34 bills in Congress [and] not a single one of them has been passed into law. So what is she doing all day in Congress? … Turns out she’s doing a whole lot of nothing,” Watters continued.
But that may be a blessing in disguise.
The legislation Ocasio-Cortez favors are also transformational socialist bills that would turn America into another Venezuela.
Ocasio-Cortez’s crown jewel is the Marxist Green New Deal that would destroy the American energy sector, reorder Americans’ diets and modes of transportation and cost tens of trillions of dollars.
Watters concluded his takedown of Ocasio-Cortez with a note of caution warning that the corporate media would lose interest in Ocasio-Cortez due to her lack of interest in advancing an agenda and declining social media star power and move on to the next shiny object.
“The media might love her now, but it’s only a matter of time before something new comes around. Then they have to get the old product off the shelves,” Watters concluded.
